After Cc and Cairo were released from the hospital, they took a flight back to Chicago. The doctor recommended to rest for five to seven days before returning to school or work. Seeing Cairo's parents communicated that they would not be able to come home for another two weeks, Jess recommended that Cairo stay with the Walkers. Of course Cairo agreed to the offer, why wouldn't she?

The two girls laid in CC's bed watching Modern Family. "Do you think it'll ever get old, watching this show together? " Cairo asked, propping her head up on her hand to get a better view of CC.

The blonde turned to her best friend. "Mmhhh maybe after a couple hundred times." She joked.

"But as long as you're with me, I don't think I'll ever get tired of it," CC added with a soft smile.

Cairo chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling with contentment. "Good," she said, nudging CC playfully. "Because I'm not going anywhere.

"Well I would sure hope not." CC grinned, wrapping an arm around Cairo. "We make a good team, you know?"

The brunette smiled softly at the words coming from her best friend. "Of course we do, we're us." She could stare at Cc for years and never get bored. Perhaps she definitely had more than friend feelings for the girl. Cairo needed an expert on all things gay and who better than the schools star lesbian, Winnie.

She shot the girl a text asking to meet up at the coffee shop between West Wood and Pear Tree. Cairo needed answers to her ongoing confusion over her best friend. With everything else in her life out of control, she needed at least one thing to be settled.

Cc looked back at Cairo, a soft expression on her face. She had always admired the brunette for her strength and resilience, especially during tough times like these. The blonde was having a really hard time with everything going on, especially her new found web situation. It was starting to feel like she was in a movie that was out to make two traumatized best friends the star roles.

Cairo could sense the tension behind CC's smile, and it made her heart ache. She squeezed CC's hand gently, trying to offer some semblance of comfort. Cc hadn't even realized that she had been staring at Cairo long enough for her to sense her uneasy feelings. Then again she had never been good at hiding her emotions. It didn't take long for someone to look at her and be able to immediately tell how she was feeling in that moment.

"Hey, you okay? " Cairo asked, breaking the silence between them.

CC hesitated, her eyes dropping to their intertwined hands. "I'm just... overwhelmed," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Cairo frowned, worry etching deeper lines into her brow. "We'll get through this, I promise," Cairo said firmly, giving CC's hand another reassuring squeeze. "Remember what you told me in the hospital? We've got this cause we have each other, okay?"

The blonde gave a slight nod recalling her words from a few days ago. But that was before her body began to make a strange spider web like substance. She shivered at the memory, the unease settling deep within her.

Both of the girls eyes were drawn to one of CC's comics that had fallen off of her collectors shelf. The blonde got up from the bed to put it back cause she'd be damned if she was going to leave a 200$ limited edition comic lay on the floor. As she picked it up, her biggest mystery to date had been partially solved. The comic was a Spider-Man comic.

'Holy shit I'm Spider-Man??' Cc quickly thought to herself.

Her hand started to tremble as she clutched the comic, her mind racing with the realization. Cairo noticed the change in CC's demeanor and asked, "CC, what is it?"
