Watching as the event planners decorated the backyard. I shake my head.
My family can never host no small get together.
There won't be much people here, but I knew my step mom would go over the top with the decor and catering.

"Princess."
"Hey daddy" I hugged him.
"How are you."
"I'm fine. You?"
"Have life, health, strength and an amazing family. It doesn't get any better than that" He smiled.
"Word."
"Where's Kadian?"
"She's upstairs with the kids."
"Ok. I'm going to look for them."

The decorators were almost finished. So I went inside.
"A who fah baby deh here" I heard Jahvy's voice. So I step back.
"Zaye" Yazmin answered him.
"Wait deh! Zaye have a baby different from Zyla."
"Yea."
I went back outside because I know it would be awkward facing them and I didn't want to explain myself to anyone without talking with Tristen first.
As much as me nuh like him right now. He is the one I owe an explanation.
I told them not to have the baby stuff downstairs because I know people will be in and out of the house today. I'm not hiding Zhuri but I just don't want anyone saying anything to Tristen before me.
And him friend dem a parrot.
My phone started ringing and it was my sister calling. I told them that I was coming for them today because my dad wanted to see them.
"Sis"
"What time your coming for us again?"
"What time is it now?"
"It's 12:15."
"Okay be ready by 2pm."
"Your taking the baby with you? Mommy say she want see har."
"I'm not sure as yet but I'll probably take her another day."
"Alright see you soon."
"Yea bye."
I went back inside the house and my parents were in the living room, sitting down.
"The baby a sleep?"
"Yea. She and Zyla deh upstairs."
"Okay."
I went to check on them and saw Zyla on the floor with her tablet.
"Hey baby. You hungry?"
"No mom. Grandma gave me chicken nuggets."
"Okay. Did you choose an outfit for later?"
"Yea. Let me show you."
"She got up and went in her drawer for the outfit."
"So I'm going to wear this dress and one of my slippers."
