I was helping Lily give food to people while Boone and Tyler were looking for a lost dog. I felt horrible for all these people.
" alright it's getting late, Boone you want to take Georgia back somewhere to rest." I heard tyler say to him
" come on Georgia." Boone said " no I can't just leave, people need help." I said " it's ok, Tyler, lily, dexter and Dani and here." He said giving me a sympathy smile
I let out a sigh as I followed him to the truck. As we started to drive it was a quiet. I didn't know what to do, I mean was having some second thoughts about just leaving Javi and Kate. As we pulled up to the motel right next to the rodeo Boone unlocked the door.
" I understand you might just want to be alone tonight so I'll see you later." Boone said looking down at his lap I just sat there staring at him, he looked up looking into my eyes. We stayed like this for a couple seconds before I said something
" would you like something to eat?" I asked quietly " what are you thinking?" He said whispering back I smiled as he turned off the truck engine getting out. We walked over to the rodeo grabbing hotdogs sitting down at a table.
" are you alright?" Boone asked as I looked into his eyes " to be honest no, I feel bad for leaving Kate." I said " why did you do it?" He asked
" I don't know." I said feeling a blush creep onto my cheeks " do you think Tyler likes anyone?" " why?" Boones said as I saw his smile drop " I was just wondering." I said He did say anything as he finished his hot dog. That's when I saw Kate and Tyler walking into the rodeo.
" Boone look." I said as he smirked " maybe we should go." He said as we stood up He walked me back to my motel room. " thanks Boone." I said as he smiled down at me I started leaning in as our faces got close till we heard someone scream.
" what was that?" He said looking around " a tornado!" I said as we watched everyone run round " Georgia!" Kate said as her and Tyler came running over to us " where are we going!" I yelled We ran over to the empty pool jumping in. " it's alright ma'am we got you!" Boone said to this mom and her daughter
This man was trying to get over to us but I watched as he flew away. " Shit!" I yelled " Georgia get over her!" Boone yelled after me
Kate and I grabbed Tyler's hand dragging him in the little spot in the pool. " I got you Georgia!" Boone said as he covered me holding on to pipes
" I have got you sweetheart." I heard the mom telling her daughter
I closed my eyes imagining my moms voice, I'll I saw my friends starting to get swept up. Both of those days were combined into my head as I felt boones hand holding mine as we both held onto the pole.
I could hear the winds calming down finally. " is it over?" The mom asked us Me and Kate stood up seeing the destruction that had happened. " holy shit!" Boone said standing next to me I couldn't hold it back anymore as tears fell out of my eyes, Boone wrapped his arms around me.
" Kate! Georgia!" Javi yelled as we run over to him " I'm so sorry!" He said " Javi. Apparently this place was family owned so I'm going to start working up some numbers." Scott said cutting us off
" what is Riggs getting out of all this? Is profiting off of peoples tradeges part of your plane?" Kate asked " Riggs is helping people move on with their life." Javi said
" I bearly now the guy and I know a guys that looks like the kfc guy is not doing any good." I said stepping in " he is just taking everything from people that have lost everything. you have no idea what that feels like." Kate said
When she said that I knew it was not a good idea. " I have no idea what that is like, really Kate I lost my three bed friends and Georgia lost her mom. Where were you running away to New York." Javi said standing up for us
Kate didn't say anything as she walked away. I know what Javi said wasn't right but it's true. " wait Kate! Hold on! I didn't mean it!" Javi yelled as she got into the the truck driving away " just great." I said walking away as Boone came running over to me
He wrapped his arms around me as I felt a tear roll down my cheek.
" it's going to be ok." He whispered
