I sat on my couch as brisket sat on my lap as we watched the tv.
" 30 people had died last night as a huge hurricane come into the small town of Oklahoma, here are some of the people we found." The news reporter said As I looked at the picture I noticed one of them was my dad. I stared at the screen not knowing what to think, both of my parents are now dead.
I wanted to call Boone up and tell him what had happened but I wasn't crying, I didn't have the same pain in my heart that I have when I think of my mom's death. I grabbed the remote turning off the tv, that's when I realized I didn't take a shower last night after everything.
So I walked to the bathroom letting the warm water melt down my body.
I cleaned the cut on my face a little before getting out. As I wrapped the towel around my body I picked up my phone checking it. I noticed that Kate had called me 5 times. I quickly call her back as she answered right away.
" hey, since I'm leaving today would you want to come with Tyler and I to drop me off at the ariport." She said Shit I totally forgot she was leaving. " yeah ofcourse, what time?"
" we are actually 10 minutes away from your house." She said " ok see you then." A quickly threw on a pair of jeans and a tank top, braiding my hair. I put some food in briskets bowl before hearing a horn. I run outside seeing Tyler's truck. " how you feeling Kate?" I asked getting into the backseat
" much better I see your cut is getting a little better." She said turning around to look at me I nodded my head as we started driving. The drive took 20 minutes till we arrived at the packed airport. We all get out of the truck when Tyler helped Kate with her bags.
I pulled Kate into a tight hug, " I'm going to miss you so much, promise me you will come back and visit." " of course, I might have to chase some more tornadoes with you guys." Kate said
" text me when you land." I said before we stopped hugging I watched as Tyler and Kate talked a little before Kate grabbed her bags waving goodbye. " alright times up man, move your truck." One of the security guys said to Tyler " we where just leaving." I said patting Tyler's shoulder
" can we get a tow truck." The guy started to say " alright I'm gonna move!" Tyler said as we hopped into his truck I watched as Tyler sat there staring at the wheel. " are you alright?" I asked confused But he didn't answer. I noticed him staring at Kate as she looked around the airport, and then I understood.
" what is going on, move your car." The guy said coming up to Tyler's truck " could you hold on sir." I said getting annoyed That's when Tyler smirked as I heard the drills go into the concrete. I looked over at Tyler smiling. " Yes!" I cheered as he got out running inside the airport
" Attaboy, go get your girl!" I cheered " hey you can't do that!" The guy yelled at him " looks like he just did." I laughed rolling my window up
I watched as dark storm clouds rolled in seeing Tyler and Kate comeing back out to his car. " looks like I'm staying here." Kate smiled getting into the back
I was smiling so big as Tyler got into the truck with the same smile. " should I call everyone!" I said waving my phone " we got a storm to chase!" Tyler cheered as we drove off
