Chapter 20: The calm after the storm

The morning started early. I was already at the concert venue when the first rays of the sun began to illuminate the sky. Rosé stepped beside me, and I looked at her with a smile. "Did you sleep well?"

She stretched and yawned wide. "Yes, but I could have slept for a couple more hours."

I laughed. "Same here. But we need to ensure everything is ready for the concert tonight."

We started to check the stage preparations. Everything was on schedule, but I wanted to ensure nothing went wrong. I went over the details and made sure all the performance outfits were in place.

Rosé spotted me looking at the stage backdrops. "Y/n, you need to take it easy. We've done this many times before."

I sighed and gave her a grateful smile. "I know, but I just want to ensure everything goes perfectly."

During the day, the preparations progressed smoothly. Everything went according to schedule, and in the afternoon it was time to take a short break before the evening's soundcheck. We decided to go outside to breathe fresh air and enjoy peace.

Rosé suggested that we go outside to get some oxygen and get some snacks to eat at the same time. It sounded like a good idea, so we went together to a nearby cafe to get something to eat.

With snacks from the cafe, we headed back behind the concert venue, where there was a small park area. We sat down on the soft grass and started the picnic. The air was fresh, and the sun was shining brightly.

"I'm so glad we got this moment to calm down," Rosé said with a smile and took a bite from her sandwich. "This tour has been such a whirlwind even now, even though we're only at the beginning."

I nodded and took a sip of my orange juice. "Indeed. But I've also learned a lot about myself and others already. It's been great to see how as a team we can get through anything."

Rosé looked at the sky before turning her gaze to me. "By the way, Yoongi? Have you come to a better understanding?"

I smiled and felt my cheeks turn red. "Yes, we talked last night, and it helped a lot. He understands me better than I expected. I'm grateful for that."

Rosé smiled warmly. "That's good to hear. Yoongi cares about you a lot, you can tell. I noticed it even before you started dating. And you're important to him."

I sighed deeply and looked at Rosé. "I still have a lot to learn. I want to be the best possible support for him, but at the same time, I want to make sure we don't lose ourselves in all the hustle and bustle."

Rosé nodded. "It's important. We have to remember to take care of ourselves and each other. This tour is tough, but it can also make us stronger."

Silence fell for a while, and we enjoyed our snacks. The sun warmed our faces, and for a moment, everything felt perfect.

"You know, I've been thinking that we should try to do something special in every city we visit," Rosé said suddenly. "Something that helps us remember this time as a positive experience."

I smiled and nodded. "That's a great idea. Maybe we could go sightseeing. Something to bring us closer together and give us a break."

Rosé smiled widely. "Exactly. We must remember that this is a unique experience, and we should enjoy it to the fullest."

When our snacks were finished, and we rested for a while, we got up and returned to the concert venue. The busyness of the day was waiting, but I felt lighter and more ready to face everything.
