Chapter 23: Unspoken Tensions

The hotel lobby was bustling with life as the group walked after a long day of travel. Fans had gathered outside, eager to see the members as they checked in, but security kept the crowd at bay. Exhaustion weighed on all of them, but there was something heavier that hung in the air between the boys: the unresolved conversation with Yoongi.

As they each received their room keys, Namjoon turned to the group. "Let's all rest up tonight. Tomorrow, we've got rehearsals, but let's be sharp."

The others nodded, though there was an unspoken agreement that things still weren't settled. Even after their talk with Yoongi, the tension hadn't lifted entirely. Namjoon could feel it—everyone was worried, not just about Yoongi but about what could happen if their suspicions were true. Relationships, especially on tour, could complicate everything.

Jin leaned over to Hoseok as they waited for the elevator. "You think everything's going to be okay?"

Hoseok shrugged, trying to smile but not quite reaching his eyes. "I hope so. We can only trust him, right? He's never let us down before."

As the group split off to their respective rooms, the atmosphere felt strained. They had always prided themselves on being a close-knit family, but this... this felt different. It was the kind of secret that could either bring them closer or push them apart.

The next morning, the group gathered in the rehearsal hall. The day had barely begun, but the pressure of the upcoming shows was already looming. Yoongi, per his usual demeanor, was quiet and focused, throwing himself into the music. But the others couldn't help but watch him a little closer, wondering if he was hiding more than just a secret relationship.

During a break, Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook huddled near the corner of the stage, quietly discussing the situation.

"I don't want to bring it up again," Jungkook whispered, glancing over at Yoongi, who was fiddling with his equipment. "But don't you guys feel he's more distant now?"

Taehyung nodded, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah. I thought after we talked to him last night, things would be clearer, but now it feels like he's shutting us out even more."

Jimin, who had been quieter about the situation until now, frowned. "I don't think he's shutting us out on purpose. He's probably just trying to deal with everything on his own. But... we know Yoongi. He's not great at opening up."

Taehyung crossed his arms, his brows furrowing. "But we've never seen him like this before. It's not just about him being private—there's something else."

Before they could continue, Namjoon called out to them from across the stage. "Hey! We've got to start again, let's go!"

The boys exchanged looks, reluctantly breaking up their conversation. But the questions still lingered. What was Yoongi hiding, and how long could he keep it from them?

Later that evening, after rehearsal, the group found themselves back in the hotel. It was rare for them to have any downtime, but tonight, they had a brief window before the next show. Instead of heading to their rooms, however, Namjoon suggested they gather in one of the lounges.

As they sat together, the usual lighthearted banter was missing. Everyone was quieter than normal, and it didn't take long for the topic to come up again.
