Rohini's POV:

My mom called me home for breakfast today, I went there and surprisingly everyone was present. I sat down and my mom served me.

It is my favorite ALOO KE PARATHE. I mean how can someone not like them? They are freaking delicious. As I was enjoying my second paratha when my father spoke-

"I have fixed your marriage with my friend's son. He is well-mannered, kind, and rich. He is also good-looking. " Dad said.

"Dad!! how could you not even ask for my consent? Am I just an object that you want to trade? Or is there another motive behind this?" I shouted fighting my tears.

"I did what felt right. And there is no motive other than to see my daughter happy." He said giving me his fakest smile. The last time he addressed me as his daughter was years ago.

"Dad this is not fair!! why do you wanna marry me off to a stranger?!" I said.

"Dad, why are you forcing her into this?" Arnav(younger brother) spoke calmly taking my side.

"Whatever you think this is she has to do this marriage, and Arnav shut up if you want to go to the UK for your masters." He said in a threatening tone.

"Why Dad? you did not even bother ever to call me your daughter." I asked.

"You did wrong 8 years ago what about that?" He said.

"I didn't, I told you I was drugged," I said but he refused.

"You will marry him. You will have your ring ceremony with the wedding itself. Don't bring another event of disgrace to our family." He said folded his hands and left.

At this point, I am not even sure what to do. I am crying only Arnav is consoling me. My mom then said-

"What you did 8 years ago isn't enough? Or do you have another boy in your life? Did you start whoring again? She said with nothing but pure hatred in her eyes.

"MOM!! That's enough!! why don't you ever believe her? She is your daughter only, Why don't you try to understand her? And is this the tone to talk with your daughter?" Arnav said with anger.

"Beta you don't know anything, What she did 8 years ago. Stop taking her side." She said her voice soft. She never talked like this with me ever.

"I take my leave now. I have an office." I said and was collecting my bag and phone while my mom said.

"Your marriage is next month on 25th September. Don't run away." She said.

Wiping my tears and taking a few deep breaths in the car helped me. I masked my expressions perfectly and did all of my work.

Aditya's POV:

I woke up and did my daily routine. Mummy called me down for breakfast today, She made Idli sambhar my favorite.

My father also joined the table as I took a bite my dad spoke-

"As I told you, you will be marrying my friend's daughter. We are going to her house tomorrow for dinner at 8:00 PM. Be on time there." He said making me nod and then left from there.

Sonal maa came to me.

"See I know due to your past experiences you don't wanna marry or be in a relationship, but try to give this marriage a chance. You may not have any expectations but what if she has? you have to treat her with respect. Who knows maybe she is the one who will change your life for good." She said with a soft motherly gaze.

"Maa but she also knows na that this marriage is just a way to save her father's company so why keep expectations?" I asked.

"But she is also a human na, Everyone expects something. If you can't love her or be nice to her then don't marry. But if you are then try to forget the past and start fresh. Think about it." She said and left.

Her words made sense to me, But I am afraid that what if I love her dearly and she left me too, Just like MAA did? After thinking about it. I decided to give this marriage a chance. I hope I won't regret this decision of mine.
