Author's POV:

The week starts pretty good for both of them. Each one is busy in their line of work. Today was overtime for  Aditya and he doesn't forget to inform Rohini about his schedule.

Rohini's POV:

I was sitting in my office reading a file when my phone binged with a message. I smiled as I saw his name.

Will be late, I have three back-to-back meetings. Have dinner and sleep.

Don't wait for me.<3

I smiled and replied.

Sure but make sure you have dinner. See you. Take care.

I got engrossed in the work again. I went back home showered and ate my favourite ramen as I wasn't in the mood to cook. I binge-watched an entire K-drama series but there was no sign of him. I noticed the time was 12:30 AM. I decided to call his PA Abhi.

"Hello Abhi, Rohini here. How much more time would Aditya need?" I asked.

"Hello Bhabhi, I guess another half n hour. Sir is in the last meeting." He replied.

"Has he eaten dinner or some snacks?" I couldn't help but ask.

"No ma'am the last thing sir had was coffee at 9 PM"  He replied making me sigh.

"Okay, Thanks for telling Abhi. Bye," I said.

"No problem ma'am. Bye," He said ending the call.

I quickly went to the kitchen and made some parathas put them in a casserole and kept them on the table with a note. And went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up early at 7:30 and went to the society gym, but not before checking on him.

I came back and made some Poha for breakfast. He woke up in the meanwhile.

"Good morning," He said smiling sleepily.

"Good morning, breakfast is ready. I made Poha." I say.

"I will freshen up and come in 5 mins, let's have breakfast together. Also, I have something important to tell you." He says and hurries to his bedroom.

What important thing does he have to tell? I kept wondering in my thoughts till he came back. He serves him and me some Poha and sits beside me.

"Ha, so I was saying tomorrow some of my relatives are coming. Bua is coming with Rahul her son and uncle." He says.

"Okay, at what time?" I ask

"At 5:00 PM, Let's do one thing, how about we both take a half day tomorrow? We both will be back by 3:00 PM and two hours are enough to prepare right? Waise bhi who log sirf ek-do ghante ke liye aayenge, unka dinner bahar hai.

{They will anyways come for one or two hours. Their dinner is outside.}

The next day came and went by quickly. It was 3:00 PM and I had just reached home. He messaged me saying he was on the way.

Author's POV:

Aditya and Rohini bustled around, setting up for the small family gathering. They had moved in together only a few weeks back, and this was the first time Aditya's relative would be visiting them in their shared space. The faint scent of incense mingled with the delicious aroma of Rohini's home-cooked food, giving the place a welcoming vibe.

Aditya glanced at her with a reassuring smile, knowing how much effort she had put into making everything perfect.

Soon, the relatives arrived with enthusiastic greetings and laughter. Among them was Rahul, Aditya's younger cousin, who was in college and known for his playful, sometimes mischievous nature. Initially, everything seemed fine; Rahul was his usual cheerful self, chatting animatedly with everyone.
