Amethyst

I walked through the partly dark forest, keeping close to Fang and having my guard up. I had my hand on my wand and the other on the dagger in my bag.

As I walked, I noticed the syncronized breathing of the trees, the snow crunching under my boots, the cold air feeling like a blanket of ice wrapped around me.

As I reached a small river, I noticed a bigger than normal dog sitting at the edge, just staring. I crept closer, it hadn't seen me yet, I walked around it. I only got half-way when I stepped on a branch, it's head snapped to me.

It looked slightly crazed and almost dead. I stepped back and put my hands up in surrender. He didn't do anything but stare at me. I took another step back, it stood and walked towards me. Its slow strides and careful pacing were intended. I stopped where I was and didn't break eye-contact with it.

My heart beat sped up a little and my breathing became more shallow. It only walked slowly to me, stalking closer and closer. I didn't move, Fang only growled and stood behind me. I looked back at him and smiled. "Coward." He looked up at me and whined. I chuckled and looked back at the dog who was right in front of me.

I crouched down and put my hand out. It didn't move, just stared like a doll. It wasn't hostile, the tail was down so were his ears. I only sighed and stood back up, walking to the small river and dropped my bag on the ground. I crouched down and took out one of the smaller vials, filling it with the river water.

It didn't look very deep, so I took a few step forward, thinking what would happen if I jumped in. I looked around and saw it led somewhere else.

Looking up at the trees, I noticed it wasn't so close to sunrise but close enough. I sighed and picked up my bag. "Come on, Fang." I called out to the dog behind the bush I left.

The other one was still staring. I looked at it and walked closer, crouching down and sitting on my knees in front of it. It remained motionless and still. Almost calm.

I sighed and reavhed out to him, he pulled back and walled back. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I just wanna know if you have a collar. I don't want the Centuars getting to you, they don't take kindly to strangers in their forest."

He backed up into the trees, disappearing, everything going silent. I sighed and stood back up, grabbing my bag, I walked the way the river was leading. I heard a breathing behind me. Human breathing.

I spin around and took out my wand, pointing it at the direction of the breathing. I couldn't see anyone but I heard the breathing and it's foot-steps. Someone stepped out of the trees.

I stared into the eyes of non-other than Sirius Black. He only stood there with a nonchalant look on his face, almost dead just like the dog. I wasn't feeling scared or threatened. Just aware. "Your an Anamagus. Explains how you escaped."

He nodded. "Yes, I am." I only remained still, calm and unmoving. He only stood where he was. I put my wand away and walked to along the river. "Come on, Fang. You too, Sirius."

We walked along the river, almost reaching the end cause of the the riples through the water. We walked in silence, until he broke it. "I know what people say, but I swear...." I cut him off by shaking my head. "I'm not going to tell anybody. I just want to know somethings."

He nodded and fell silent for me to talk.

"You worked with my father, yes?"
"I did."
"What was he like? I mean, did he have a personality or was he just a cold-hearted killer?"

He chuckled and shook his head. We reached the waterfall and I sat my bag on the floor, walking closer to the water. "Your father and mother were inseparable, except when he went on missions. He never let her anywhere near the dangers of the war. Especially when it came to you three. It was the only thing he trully cared about." He spoke, it almost sounded like he was praising my father for us.

"The Dark Lord was many things, but when it came to his family, he was more of a maniac than he was when they brought him to Hogwarts." He walked closer to me, putting a hand on my shoulder. I tensesed at the feeling, shrugging his hand off. "I may not be attacking you or ratting you out, but that doesn't mean I trust you completely." He took his hand away and chuckled.

He muttered something, but because of the loud waterfall next to us, I didn't quiet hear it. We stayed quiet then I walked back to my bag, I dropped my cardigan and took out the towel, my dagger and the small test-tubes. I placed two tubes in my mouth, holding them with my teeth and walked back to the shore, placing the towel down.

I took off my shoes and socks, jumping in. The water was cold, colder than my showers. It wasn't something I would jump out the water for though. I swam to the deepest I could go and took the test tubes out.

I took the dagger and digging through the dirt and trying to find any kind of plants worth value. I found nothing but small fishes and sea weed. I rose from the water and inhaled air into my tired lungs. They stung from holding my breath too long.

I walked over to the towel and wrapped it around myself. I casted a drying charm on myself. I sighed and walked back tonmy bag with my shoes and socks in hand. Sirius was gone and Fang was right next to my bag, laying down and sleeping.

I put the tubes back in the bag and grabbed all my things. I put my socks and shoes back on when my feet where dry. I walked around the forest with Fang at my side. I looked up at the trees and noticed the sun already up.

I already had a few plants and seeds in the tubes, and the vials were filled with sap and juices squeezed from some plants. I had enough to keep me busy all tomorrow. I sighed and walked back to Hagrid's hut.

I said my bye's to Fang and Hagird and headed back to the castle. When I got into the Great Hall, no one was in there but a few Gryffindors and two Ravenclaws. I sat at my table and placed my bag next to me. I sat there and served myself a smaller portion than usaul. The talk with Sirius really took away my appetite.

It's kinda hard to believe that Voldemort, the man who killed hundreds and tourtured, had a soft spot. I sighed and played with my food, not wanting to eat it. I felt a tap on my shoulder and someone clear their throat. I turned to see the Weasley twins. They smiled down at me.

"Hello, love. Would you mind if we sat here for a moment?" I nodded and they took a seat on either side of me. "Fred, the handsomer one." The one on my right spoke. "George, the smarter one." The one on my left spoke.

"Amethyst, the tired one."
"Your Thornhill's twin sister aren't you?"
"Yeah. Sorta."
"Well, from one twin to another, your definitely the better half."

I chuckled at their remarks. They spoke like one. It was ammusing. "So, did you need something?" I went back to starring at my plate. "How would you like to help us with somethings?" Fred smirked.

I looked at him and furrowed my brows. "I don't do blowjobs, find someone else." I shook my head.
"No, no dear. We want you to help us with something completely different. We want you to help us with our business. Harmless really."

I gave it a thought. "What kind of business?" I looked over at George and he smiled. "Trinkets and toys for pranks. Puking pastels and such."

"Give me some time to think about it. I'll send you an owl when I make up my mind."

"Very well." The both answered and walked away. I smiled and they got up, walking away. I went back to picking at my food. I finally ate it and left about half of the food on my plate.

I looked up at the door of the hall and saw Malfoy walk in. He walked straight up to me and sat next to me. He only kept his head down the entire time, sitting in silence. His foggy blue eyes staring at the wooden table.

"Need something, Malfoy?"
"I had a three way with your brother and Pansy." was all he bleared out.
