The BAU call had pulled Kayla out of her dreams. An incoming case had every member of the team drop anything they were doing. Even if what they were doing was sleep.

Her apartment was poorly lit, the street lights casting shadows here and there. She was struggling to get ready when the sound of knocking made her jump. She quickly walked over to the door, hesitant to open it.

"Kayla, it's me."  she heard a muffled familiar voice.

She unlocked the door, and standing behind it was Derek Morgan dressed in a suit.

"Aren't you ready yet?" the man asked while making his way through her apartment.

"I was just called a few minutes ago, not everyone sleeps in a suit Morgan," she teased him as she packed her go-back. "What are you doing here anyway?" She asked as the man helped her fold some clothes.

"I came to pick you up." he answered as she went into her bathroom to brush her teeth.

"The FBI building is less than 10 minutes away, I could've walked." The girl stated with her brush still in her mouth.

"We are not going to the bereau yet, princess." He paused."We have to get Gideon first."

Kayla had now started brushing her hair.

"He's coming back?" She wondered, more to herself.

"Well, this would be the first case since Boston, so we still don't know if he's ready." Derek told her while pouring coffee into a mug.

"You know, for someone who doesn't drink coffee, you sure do have a lot of it." He teased and handed her a glass of water.

"Yeah, well, with you coming and serving yourself like it's your house, I'm gonna have to buy it in bulks." She teased right back, and a smile appeared on the man's face.

"So you're ready or not, princess?" Derek asked and took another sip of his coffee.

"Hey, don't look at me. It's you we're waiting on big guy." He chucled and set his mug on a counter.

"Alright then, let's go, blondie."

"Yeah, don't worry, we'll be fine," she heard Hotch talk on the phone. "Yes, I'll tell her," he paused for a second and listened to the person on the other end of the phone. "Love you too! Bye."

It was Haley. Ever since she got pregnant, she was even more on edge about her husband's work than before. She couldn't blame her. It was hard knowing that the one you love is in danger, just by doing their job.

"Haley wants you to help her look for baby names. She said I was too biased and won't like any of the names she wanted." Hotch told the girl as they entered the building.

"She's benching you from the father role already. Damn." Derek joked from behind. Kayla slapped his hand as they continued walking, gaining some looks from the people around.

"I'll be more than happy to help pick a name for my godson." The girl stated while teasingly pusing Morgan away. He grined.
