"You'll go in. Act like a couple, and pay attention to everything around." Hotch instructed. "We'll be right outside if anything goes south."

The two were standing next to each other, nodding their heads as the others told them the steps of the plan.

"Whoah." Derek walked in the room. "Who knew these two could clean up so well?" He came up to them and ruffled Spencer's hair.

"Oh. Shut up." Reid pushed his hand away and scoffed at his comment.

"Remember. You're supposed to be there for fun." Gideon explained. "Try to look less uptight." He eyed the two agents who were looking like they were standing on eggs.

The two quickly shifted in their positions, seeking approval from the rest of them.

"And most importantly, try to gain as much attention as you can." Morgan added. "We want the UnSub to be focused on you two."

"Got it." Kayla said in response as they reached for the door.

"And one more thing." Hotch stopped them before they could leave. "Please be careful."

"We will be." Spencer said in response.

After that, they exited the station and were hit by the cold air of the night. The two stood outside awkwardly, waiting for a cab.

"So, uhm, do you think we'll really find the UnSub there?" Kayla tried to break the silence.

"The chances of this party being connected with the murders are not that big. But since we don't have any other leads, let's hope he's there." Spencer responded.

"Do you ever give a short answer?" She asked sarcastically, to which he chuckled.

The air grew ticker, and the chilly wind made Kayla shiver while they still struggled on getting a ride.

"Are you cold?" He asked her with a sweet voice. "Here. Take my jacket."

"No. It's okay. I'm not that cold." She tried to decline.

"Come on. I have three layers on me right now." He insisted. "I'm positive I won't freeze to death. You, on the other hand..."

He placed his coat over her shoulders, and she adjusted her hair. The cab took another five minutes to arrive, but when it finally did, the two got in and started heading towards the event.

"So, what's with the glasses, Doctor Reid?" Kayla questioned.

"I actually had glasses ever since I was a little kid."

"Why don't you wear them, then?" She stared into his brown eyes, waiting for a response.

"I prefer not to." He answered after a long pause without breaking eye contact.

"Well, for the record, I think they rather suit you." She told him while adjusting his glasses.

"You two make a great couple." The taxi driver spoke up and looked at them through the rear view mirror. "How long have you two been together?"

"We actually -"

"One year." Spencer responded.

"I hope you'll have a nice evening cause we just arrived at your destination." The driver told them.

They got out and stared at the mansion in front of them.

"Doctor, I think you chose the wrong career." Kayla teased.

"What?" Spencer looked at her, confused.

"Look at this." She gestured at the mansion. "Could you imagine owning a mansion?"
