At the same time, back on Sevestar Island, Delia and Red gather with Elena, Wade, Reisa, Gina, Mark, Insey, Alex, and Becon. They have all been called together by Delia to discuss urgent news: the murderers of Ash's Pokémon, with the help of Alice's former bullies, are making their way to the Rikoto Region. Wade is the first to speak, his voice filled with concern. "So what are we going to do about these evil people?"
Delia, her expression serious, responds, "For now, if they learn that Ash and Alice are here, they might try to interfere with their challenge in the Rikoto League. We must stop them from getting closer to the region, and there's only one thing we can do."
Becon looks at her intently. "And what will that be, Ms. Ketchum?"
Delia closes her eyes, contemplating the situation. "Since they're traveling by boat, we could create a storm to prevent them from approaching."
Mark, however, raises a concern. "Are you sure a storm is a good idea? What if they manage to get past it without any trouble?"
Gina nods in agreement. "That's right. They're desperate, especially with the police hunting them down for killing Ash's Pokémon and Professor Oak. I don't think a storm will be enough to keep them away from the island..."
Delia frowns, acknowledging the truth in their words. The situation is more complicated than she initially thought. Red steps forward with a thoughtful expression. "I think I have an idea. What if we hide the region from their sight?"
Elena looks at her father skeptically. "How are we supposed to hide an entire region? Rikoto is huge; I don't think we can just make it disappear."
Red nods, acknowledging the challenge. "We created this region so we could enjoy it. If we want to hide it, we can create a mist that makes them lose their direction."
Insey tilts his head, curious. "A mist that makes them lose direction? Can you explain a bit more? I'm not quite following."
Delia steps in, understanding Red's plan. "What your father means is that we can use the mist as a decoy to redirect their ship, sending them back to the Kanto Region, Alola, or somewhere else entirely. In other words, it would buy us time—they wouldn't be able to reach Rikoto for a while."
Valerie nods thoughtfully. "That might be a good option."
Reisa, however, raises a concern. "But what if the mist doesn't work? They could use compasses or wireless communication to navigate through it. I don't think it'll be enough to stop them completely..."
Delia's expression hardens with urgency. "We don't have time to debate this. We need to act quickly. If the mist fails, we'll need to have a Plan B ready."
Red and Delia exchange a determined glance before stepping forward, their powers beginning to manifest. As they concentrate, the air around them starts to thicken, gradually transforming into a dense mist that spreads over the ocean. The mist swirls and expands, eventually enveloping the ship carrying the murderers of Ash's Pokémon and Alice's bullies.
Onboard the ship, the atmosphere quickly turns tense. Misty peers into the thick fog, her voice tinged with confusion. "Hey, where did this mist come from?"
Max, trying to keep his composure, replies, "I don't know, but I can't see anything out there."
Ark turns to Belle with concern. "Belle, what about the compass? Can it guide us?"
Belle checks the compass, but her face falls as she realizes the problem. "It's broken. The moisture from the mist must've gotten into it and shorted it out."
"Damn it, what should we do now?" Corey asks, frustration evident in his voice.
Brock takes charge, his expression grim. "We have to steer out of the mist. There's nothing else we can do but hope for the best."
