The stadium roars with excitement as the crowd eagerly awaits the start of the Semi-Finals of the Rikoto League. The announcer's voice booms through the speakers, electrifying the atmosphere, "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, the moment we've all been waiting for! It's time to announce the matchups for the Semi-Finals!"
The big screen above the battlefield flickers, and the names of the four remaining competitors are displayed in bold letters. The announcer continues, "For our first Semi-Final match, we have Pokémon Trainer Rick versus Aromalady Blair!"
Rick, standing with his arms crossed, lets out a smug snort. "Mhhh... So, it looks like I'll have to crush one of you weaklings in the finals, huh?" He chuckles darkly, casting a disdainful glance toward his opponents. Ash and Rodney exchange a knowing look, their eyes narrowing as they stare back at Rick, but neither says a word, choosing to let their silence speak volumes.
The announcer's voice interrupts the tension, "And for our second Semi-Final match, it's Pokémon Trainer Rodney facing off against Pokémon Trainer Ash!"
Rodney turns to Ash, a determined smile playing on his lips. "As I expected, Ash! This is going to be intense. Let's give these people a battle they'll never forget and show our skills to the world!"
Ash grins, his eyes filled with the fire of competition. "You bet, Rodney! Let's make this a match for the ages!"
Rodney nods, his expression serious now. "No holding back. I know you've got some surprises up your sleeve, and so do I."
Ash chuckles, "Wouldn't have it any other way. Let's give it everything we've got!"
After Rick's victory, the atmosphere in the stadium is electric. The crowd is buzzing with excitement as they anticipate the next battle. Ash and Rodney make their way to the battlefield, the tension between them palpable. In the stands, Alice looks torn, her eyes shifting between the two competitors.
Alice sighs, "Rodney against Ash... I'm not sure who I'm going to cheer for..."
Delia, sitting beside her, offers a comforting smile. "Rodney is like a brother to you, and Ash is your boyfriend. No matter who wins, this is going to be a match like no other—a match that will go down in history."
Down on the battlefield, Ash and Rodney stand across from each other, the roar of the crowd fading as they focus on the task at hand. Rodney is the first to speak, his voice steady and filled with respect. "Ash, I've been waiting for this moment. I know how strong you are, and that's exactly why I'm excited to battle you. This is what the Rikoto League is all about—facing the best and giving it everything we've got."
Ash nods, his eyes locking with Rodney's, a fierce determination in his gaze. "Rodney, you're one of the toughest trainers I've ever met. I know you'll push me to my limits, and I'm ready for it. But just know, I'm not holding anything back today. Let's make this a battle that neither of us will forget."
Rodney smirks, raising his Poké Ball with confidence. "That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Let's give these people a show they'll be talking about for years!"
Ash mirrors Rodney's gesture, holding his own Poké Ball high. "May the best trainer win!"
Rodney steps forward, holding his Poké Ball high. "Let's start strong! Lunape, I choose you!" he shouts, releasing Lunape onto the battlefield. The ethereal Pokémon lands gracefully, its eyes gleaming with determination.
Ash matches his intensity, gripping his Poké Ball. "Countula, it's your turn! Let's show them our power!" he calls out, releasing Countula, who bounces energetically onto the field, its fangs gleaming and wings fluttering playfully.
