Diamond's Perspective :
We rolled in, smooth, in a blacked-out Maybach, and the valet couldn't open my door fast enough. I stepped out, my Louboutins hitting the floor, and the whole place was dripping in elegance-flowers,marble,chandeliers, the whole nine.
Malik had his hand on the small of my back, guiding my ass like he owned the damn world, and let me tell it, it felt like he did. We walked through the grand entrance, the doorman giving us a nod like he knew who we were. And when we got into that private elevator, I couldn't help but feel a little thrill.
When the elevator doors slid open, I was hit with the sight of a rooftop garden that took my breath away. Flowers bloomed everywhere and right in the middle of it all was a table for two. Candles flickered and the city lights sparkled below us. This shit looked like we were in a damn dream. It was the kinda place that made you feel like you were on top of the world.
Malik watched me with that knowing smile, his eyes locked on mine. "You like it?" He asked, his voice low with confidence.
I couldn't even play it gangsta this time, "I sho' do"
We sat down, and the servers brought out courses after courses. Lobster tails drizzled in some kinda rich buttery sauce, perfectly seared wagyu beef that melted in my mouth, and sides that burst with flavour. Malik's extra ass knew how to do things big, and I loved every bit of it.
As the afternoon went on, we talked, really talked, like we hadn't in a long ass time. "I know I messed up, we both did," he admitted, his hand reachin across the table to take mine. "I want you back Diamond, for real."
I looked at him before saying, "I missed us"
The dessert arrived, a chocolate soufflé -but we barely touched it. We were too wrapped up in eachother and the moment. "I need you, Diamond. I ain't whole without you."
This nigga wanted to make my ass cry.
"Neither am I" I smiled softly
A few hours later:
"Damn I ain't seen you in a minute" Mack greeted her as he gave Layla a hug before sitting back onto his couch
The whole gang had pulled up to his house and we were just chillin
"I wish I could unsee you" Keon teased while smoking his blunt
"Who invited this nigga again?" I rolled my eyes while pouring some orange juice into a cup
"Watch yo mouth" Keon bucked at me
"Or what nigga? Please tell me, I'd love to know" Jamal threatened him
"Aight aight chill out superman" Keon put his hands up
"Wassup with y'all anyways?" Layla smiled while putting her feet up on the ottoman
"Ain't shit" Jayden shrugged his shoulders
"Getting money" Tariq responded plainly
"Diamond yo birthday comin up" Jamal looked at me
It slipped my mind, "Oh shit, I almost forgot!"
"Don't ask me for no gifts" Keon loudly announced
"Ion want shit from yo broke ass"
"Oh now I'm broke-" he started to say before Janelle cut him off, "Damn nigga, can you just chill?"
"Anyway what y'all doing this week, y'all free?" Layla asked everyone
"We got business to tend to" Trey replied while keeping his eyes on the football game that was on the tv
"Like what?" She asked
