A Few Days Later
Today was Jamal's birthday, his old ass was turning 30, shit ain't right though he damn near spent every birthday since 17 in the pen.
Mack was throwing a get-together and we were planning to call Jamal at his crib and sing him happy birthday, but first I had to make a quick stop with Malik."I ain't think you woulda brought me here but I appreciate you for sharing this wit me" Malik said to me as I placed some flowers over her grave
Marissa Williams, loving mother and sister.
"I wanted you here" I assured him
"If you don't mind me asking, it say sister on there, you keep in touch with yo uncles or aunts?" He asked me
"Nah ion talk to em" I coldly answered
"Why not?" He asked, placing his hands around my shoulder
"I was only 12 when this shit went down, I grew up mad at the world and I ain't wanna talk to nobody, I'll reach out eventually, prolly when Jamal come home" I opened up truthfully
"I feel you" He agreed
"Jamal ain't even get to see her grave -not once- this shit so fucked up, he don't even deserve to be in there, all he ever did was look after me" I shook my head in anger
"I woulda done the same, he a real nigga and he gon be home soon, yeen gotta worry. If I could, I'd take this pain away from ya" Malik comforted me
"Everybody wanna act like I'm fuckin crazy, I just don't be giving no fucks, I stopped caring bout shit after I seen my brother taken away from me. My mama dead! Fuck I gotta care for?" I ranted before walking back to his car

"Ain't you say this was gon be a small get-together?" He asked me in a confused tone
"That's what I thought it was gon be, ion know why he got music blastin so loud and hella cars parked in front of his crib" I wondered, before calling his phone
"Wassup Diamond? You here, wit Malik right?" He asked me straight away
"Uh yeah? Why yo crib so damn packed?" I asked him, putting him on speaker
"You bouta find out" he responded before hanging up
"You know what he's talking about?" I asked Malik and saw a smirk appear on his face
"Fuck is you smiling for?" I questioned as he got out the car
"Imma need you to close ya eyes for me" he ordered
"Close my eyes? For what?" I asked
"Diamond stop being difficult just do what I'm saying" he rolled his eyes
