"Gentlemen," the grey-suited man said as he entered a small conference room with a binder.
The bald-headed man smoked and the taller, nervous man sat waiting...impassive it seemed.
"The subjects, the targets, have been located."
"Excellent."
"How?"
The grey-suited man smiled...no explanation was necessary, but still... Sometimes sharing information was more productive than withholding it...especially from his associates.
"Satellite surveillance confirmed after a search of the area," the grey-suited man, who lit a pipe and put the binder on the conference table...the edgy tall man grabbed it eagerly...with something to do.
"Satellite," the associate in the covert operation. "And...apparently contact from within the area of the search."
"Indeed, quite so."
"A warehouse where they broke in, and then to a nearby hotel."
"So what now?" the bald headed man asked pointedly.
"We wait, and watch. Standard procedure."
"But?" asked the bald headed man, passing the binder to his nervous associate.
"I had...telepathic contact with the subject," the grey-suited man said. "This exacerbates the problem. He is extremely dangerous, and he knows about the operation."
"He knows about you," said the edgy man, "but not about us in the operation." The man nervously gestured to himself and his associate opposite him.
"Ahh, but the target...subject, knows...of me, and anyone associated with me."
Both me gulped, and looked at the grey-suited man nodded in their understanding.
"So how do we...neutralize the target?" the bald headed man asked, his tone one of eagerness.
"We are keeping real-time surveillance, and I expect contact again..." the grey-suited man commented.
Both men nodded...both nervous, and ready for the operation to be finished.
"Until then," the grey-suited man said, "we wait but remain ready."
Kirk gasped, and rolled over...on cold smooth stone. Sliding up, using his arm to prop himself up, Kirk saw he was in the glass gazebo...yet again.
Struggling to get up, Kirk felt weak on his legs...but finally stood, and was naked. But...it was not the middle of night, it was the final moments of dusk...twilight was calling, the day was ebbing into eventide.
Kirk put his hand tentatively on the glass window, and saw he was sealed inside the glass gazebo, in the middle of a meadow. Beyond was a thick dark forest...and while Kirk could not see the malevolent forces in the thicket of trees and brambles, he knew they were there.
But where was Josh?
"Josh..." Kirk said, knowing his only but best friend in the world was there. An arm embraced him, and then a hand patted him...it was Josh, standing with his eyes closed...
"I'm here Kirk," Josh said smiling. "I'm always with you...in your head you..."
"Josh...?"
"My long haired baby faced friend," Josh said, eyes still closed. "I'm always with you..."
"I know," Kirk replied noting that darkness had fallen, and the moon was rising to its zenith...above the glass gazebo. Josh rubbed Kirk's back...
"I'm glad Kirkster," Josh said. "Now...I want to be in you..."
