The Knight in Training // Book 1 of Garroth x Reader

6: BURN HER!

You watch Levin (Aph introduced you guys while you were staying at her place) as he played in the playground area. Lady Aphmau has left for an important trip, but she didn't give you much details, only that she was gonna take Kiki to help the wolf tribe.

You have met everyone the day Lady Aphmau left. With your helmet on, of course. Then, having the flashback off of your head, you hear footsteps. You acted like you didn't hear them, until it got close. You took out your diamond sword, and turned around. It was Garroth.

"Woah!" Garroth stepped back a little bit. "It's just me, (y/n)!"

"You scared me!" You say.

"Sorry." He looked at Levin. "Hey little man."

"Hi!❤️" Levin said. You try hard not to show off your soft side with Garroth around.

Levin then sat down in the sand box, and started to build tiny hills in the sand.

"He's really cute, right?" Garroth asked you.

"Very." You answer.

"Well, someone has a soft side." Garroth teased.

You pushed him in the sand pile away from Levin's little sand hills. Then when Levin saw Garroth lying in the sand, he jump on him.

"Hahaha!" You laugh from the sight.

"She laughs!" Garroth gets up with Levin on his shoulders. "BURN HER!"

"No, please!" You get chased around the village by a Garroth-jockey.

Then you fall down, from Levin pushing you in the grass. Then Levin got off of Garroth's back and lay down next to you. Garroth lays down next to Levin.

"You got me." You say, then you start to get up. You pick up Levin, and put him on your shoulders.

"Time to get back to Lady Aphmau's house." You say.

"You're right, (y/n)." Garroth says. "It's almost sunset."

"Ladwy Aphmwau?" Levin asked.

"Mommy's house." You say. Then you run to Levin's room.

When you get there, you tuck in Levin. You turn on the music box, and exit the room.

Outside, Garroth was talking to Dale.

"Whatcha talking about?" You say.

"Oh, (y/n)." Dale turned to you. You smell a faint scent of root beer tainting his breath. "We were talking about protection for the village."

"And for Levin." Garroth added.

"Of course." You say, thinking of the toddler.

"We were thinking of having you guard Levin's room while I guard the outside of Lord Aphmau's house. Dale, Brian, and the other guards will guard the perimeter of the village. How does it sound, (y/n)?"

"Perfect!" You say. "I'll go to Levin's room right now!"

You enter the room, to see Levin sleeping. The music box has stopped playing the soft melody. You smile at the sleeping toddler and give him a sheep plush, the one you learned how to make with the weaver Cadenza.

Then you got a chair, and put it in front of Levin's bedroom door and sat in the chair, with a diamond sword in hand.
