I haven't heard Fireflies since, like forever! This is the piano version (duh. I'm so dumb). I used to listen to this song everyday. So, here's a little piece of me.
=============
You yawn as you warm up some milk for Levin's breakfast. While heating up Levin's milk, you bake some bread for your own breakfast. You sit down, which was your first mistake because you had fallen asleep because of your fatigue. But then you woke up from Levin's crying. You pour the milk inside of a bottle and run upstairs to feed the toddler.
"Here ya go." You feed Levin in the chair. "I'm so sorry, little man."
You take off your armor, because feeding a child with metal on is uncomfortable. While feeding Levin, you hear a door opening.
"Probably Brian." You muttered to yourself, but positioned your diamond sword for combat. The door opened, and Garroth came in. He pointed his sword to you.
"You! What are you doing in Lord Aphmau's house?!" He says threatening you.
"Shh." You say quietly. "You'll make Levin cry with your yelling."
He muttered something under his breath; something you weren't able to hear
You put down Levin's bottle and look at the guard.
"It's me... (y/n)." You say, regretting on your decision on taking off your armor.
"Wait, (y/n)?" Garroth looked surprised. "You're lying! Tell me who you are exactly."
You calmly put down Levin inside of his crib and told him that you'll be back soon. Then you took your sword and went inside of Aph's room. You then found you armor and put it on.
"See?" You hope that he believes you now.
"That makes no difference. Anyone could wear that armor at anytime." He says bluntly.
You sigh. You, then, put down your sword on the floor.
"Why don't you believe me, Garroth?"
"Wha... how do you know my name?" He was severely confused.
"Well, probably because I am (y/n)." You say, in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Lies." He throws down his sword, but he threw it too hard. It bounced off the floor, and hit your armor. There was a loud bang. Then Levin started crying.
You took off your helmet, and run to his room. You pick him up, and try to calm him down.
"Aunty hurt?" He asked.
"No, Levy. Aunty not hurt." You say. After a few minutes or saying reassurance, he stops crying and fall asleep.
Brian, then, comes into the room. "What happened, (y/n)? I heard a really loud bang, and Levin's cry."
"This isn't (y/n), Brian." Garroth said, frustrated. "Don't be fooled."
"What are you talking about? This is (y/n). This is the exact person that told me that she was a guard in her old village. The same eyes, hair, smile, everything." Brian said.
"What...?"
"Look at her arms, Garroth." Brian pointed to your arms, covered by the long sleeve you are wearing.
"What about my arms?" You ask defensively.
"The burns." Brian says. "From the fire."
"Oh..." You nod, and rolled up the sleeves of your shirt. Your arms were covered with bandages, from the magiks user Zoey.
"..." Garroth's eyes widen. "Oh my gosh... I'm so, so sorry (y/n). I-I didn-"
"It's okay." You rest your hand on his shoulder, trying to reassure him that it was fine. "Don't beat up yourself over it. Honestly, I would act the same way you had did, except a little more violently."
"Y-You should relax. Take the day off." Garroth said.
"Are you sure? I mean-"
"I'm positive... I'll take care of Levin while you rest. You shouldn't really use your arms, until you've healed completely."
"But-"
"No buts, (y/n)." Brian shook his head. "Garroth is right... you need some rest."
After some convincing of your comrades, you reluctantly go into Lady Aphmau's room, and change into normal clothes, a (f/c) dress. You brush your hair and head into town.
You didn't feel tired, anyways.
