You walk into the forest, as instructed, with the letter in your hand. You had no armor on, so you could get injured at any time. Finally, you see the devil in disguise as a high priest, with no guards with him.
"Ah. I see that you don't want your village to burn down." His cold voice said.
"Of course I don't want to see my village in pain! What do think I am, a monster like you?!" You say, arms crossed.
"I thought you would have run away... like the other times." He said, with an evil smile planted on his face.
"YOU SHADO-" You get interrupted by him pulling you into a kiss. There was no sparks. You get out your dagger and stab his leg. Then he let go of you.
"Ow!" He leans against a tree. He takes out a bow, and shoots next to you.
Then time froze. You turn around to see Garroth, without his armor on. His expression was shocked. The arrow was floating midair.
You know what to do before time started again.
You go in front of your fiancée and braced yourself, by closing your eyes. Then a sharp pain went through your entire body.
"No... ___!" You hear Garroth scream. Everything was a blur, except for him. He was feeding you healing potions and golden apples.
"It's no use." You weakly said.
"You will survive." He said, determined.
Even though he fed you many things that could heal you, you can still feel your soul being taken by Lady Irene herself, her gentle hands wanting to end your suffering.
At last, you muster all of your strength and spoke.
"I love you. That's why I saved you from death."
Like that Life is Strange reference when time froze? I just finished episode 4 of that game and it freaking... that game will be the death of me.
