I stepped out of Oscars mclaren as i walked beside lily who sent me a small smile.

Today was the first race of the season, this was always the day that oscar was incredibly nervous for due to it basically being the day you show what you may race like for the season.

I scanned my pass as i waved at some of the other drivers.

"Hey, sophia!"

I spun around to see daniel and max running up, "Hello you two!" i smiled giving them a quick hug.

"How've you been?" daniel smiled.

"Been good, busy though."

"Yeah i've seen, the gossip pages follow your every move!" max laughed.

"They follow soph more than you!" daniel wheezed making max flip him off.

I giggled, shaking my head, "Yeah i know, can't catch a break but oh well."

"Well i've gotta go before christian kills me so bye!" max said as he ran off.

"Bye guys." i waved as i walked inside the mclaren garage.

"Hello!" zack smiled as he patted oscar's back as i walked inside.

"Hey zack, how was ur break?" i smiled as i made my way beside lily, oscar and zack.

"Hey sophia, It was okay, played lots of golf."

"Ahh that's good, well it was nice to see you." i smiled as me and lily made our way to place our bags in oscar's driver's room.

"Well if it isn't my least favourite piastri, oh and hi lily." lando glared but sent a smile at lily.

"Hi lando, how are you!" lily smiled

"I'm great thanks lily." lando replied as he glanced at me with a fake smile.

"How are you sophia?" he smirked leaning against the door frame.

"Absolutely riveting." i said sarcastically.

"Oh that's great."

"Uhm.. anyways we better go, bye lando and good luck!" lily smiled sending him a wave.

"He's an annoying twat." i said as i rolled my eyes, taking a seat by the engineers.

"Hmm." she smirked, making a love heart and pointing at us both.

"Ew don't even." i replied as i disgustingly looked at lando who did the same back.

"Just saying!" she nudged me as we began chatting away as the team began getting prepared.

"Good luck osco, go fast." i said as i patted his back.

"Yeah will try to." he rolled his eyes as lily placed a kiss on his cheek and sat beside me and the engineers.

"And it's the first race of the season and at the front of the grid is max verstappen and lando norris, with oscar piastri and charles leclerc just behind!" The announcer said as me and lily held hands.

"It's lights out and away we go at the bahrain track!"

"I hope they do well." lily sighed as she rested her head against my shoulder. I nodded not taking my eyes off the screen.

The car didn't do very well today, leaving Oscar in p8 and lando in p6. Not the worst start for the team, but not the best.

Oscar got out of the car sighing, clearly upset with his result. "Osc it's fine, you've got 23 more races left!" i laughed.
