Shubman returned home from his tour in England, feeling the familiar comfort of his house. After freshening up, he made his way to the kitchen, where he found his mother, Keart, busy with preparations.

Without making a sound, Shubman wrapped his arms around her from behind, embracing her warmly. Keart's face lit up with a smile as she turned slightly, recognizing the familiar touch.

"You came?" she asked, her voice filled with warmth.

Shubman gave a contented hum in response, his exhaustion evident but his happiness palpable.

Keart, noticing his tiredness, asked, "Tired?"

"Haan," Shubman admitted, his voice carrying the weight of the long journey.

"Go and sit down," Keart instructed gently. "I'll bring lunch, and we have something to tell you."

Shubman nodded and settled into a chair, feeling the comforting familiarity of home and eagerly awaiting what news his mother had to share.

As Shubman settled into the chair, he watched as Keart bustled around the kitchen, preparing lunch. The sound of footsteps approached, and Lakhwinder and Shahneel entered the room. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of anticipation and seriousness.

Lakhwinder took a seat across from Shubman, his expression steady. Shahneel, Shubman's sister, looked between her brother and their parents, sensing the weight of the moment.

Once Keart had served the lunch and they were all seated, Lakhwinder cleared his throat and spoke, "Shubman, we need to talk to you about something important."

Shubman looked up, his curiosity piqued. "What's up, Dad?"

Keart took a deep breath before continuing, "Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali, have approached us with a marriage proposal for their daughter."

Shubman's eyes widened in surprise. "Marriage proposal? For me?"

"Yes," Keart confirmed. "They've expressed their wish for you to marry their daughter, Sara."

Shubman's mind raced. "But... why? I mean, this is all so sudden. Why now?"

Lakhwinder chimed in, "We understand it's a lot to take in, but Sachin and Anjali's daughter has been through a tough time, and they believe this match would be beneficial for both families."

Shubman frowned, still processing the news. "I'm 27 now, but is this really the right time? I haven't even thought about settling down."

Keart's gaze softened with maternal concern. "Shubman, you're at a point in your life where settling down might be the right step. You've achieved so much professionally, and it's natural to start thinking about your personal life too. This proposal isn't just about timing; it's about finding the right partner for you."

Shubman sighed, feeling the weight of the decision. "I need some time to think about this."

"We understand," Keart said gently. "Take your time, but please remember, this is also about our family's future and how we move forward together."
