Shubman was lounging in his room when an idea sparked. He grabbed his phone and quickly typed out a message to Sara.

Shub: Hey, wanna go out today?

Almost instantly, his phone buzzed with her reply.

Sara: Today? Panditji is coming over to fix a date for our marriage, and you need to be here in 30 minutes.

Shubman frowned at the unexpected change of plans. Just then, Keart stepped into the room.

"Baccha, get ready. We're heading to the Tendulkar house. Panditji is finalizing the wedding date," she reminded him with a warm smile.

Shubman nodded, then hurried off to the bathroom for a quick shower, his mind now racing with the day's unexpected excitement.

Shubman rushed through his shower, the cool water doing little to calm the rush of thoughts running through his mind. As he dressed quickly, pulling on a crisp white shirt and dark jeans, he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. It's really happening, he thought, glancing at his reflection in the mirror.

When he made it downstairs, Keart was already waiting, looking pleased. "You look nice," she said, adjusting his collar slightly, the proud gleam in her eyes unmistakable.

"Thanks, Mumma," he replied with a small smile. "Let's go."

The drive to the Tendulkar house was filled with a comfortable silence. Keart occasionally glanced at her son, sensing the unspoken nerves behind his calm demeanor.

As they arrived at the Tendulkar residence, Shubman spotted Sara standing by the door, dressed in a simple yet elegant kurta, her hair cascading in soft waves. She smiled when she saw him, her usual calm masking the nerves she, too, was feeling.

"You're late," she teased gently as he approached.

"Blame Mumma," Shubman chuckled, earning a playful nudge from Keart.

Inside, the families gathered around as the panditji began chanting the prayers and flipping through his large, sacred book to find an auspicious date. Shubman's eyes occasionally drifted towards Sara, who was sitting across from him. She caught his glance once and gave him a reassuring smile, her eyes reflecting a similar mix of anticipation and nervousness.

After what felt like forever, the panditji finally announced, "The wedding will take place in six weeks, a perfect and auspicious time."

Everyone burst into excited chatter, congratulating each other, while Shubman and Sara shared a quiet look of mutual understanding—six weeks to step into a new chapter of their lives.

As they exchanged a few words with their families, Shubman leaned in closer to Sara. "So, are you ready for this?"

Sara gave a soft laugh. "I don't know... but I think we'll figure it out together." She hesitated for a moment before adding, "I'm glad it's you, Shub."
