Shubman was busy arranging his closet, folding a few shirts when he heard the soft click of the door opening. He looked up and saw Keart, standing by the doorway, smiling warmly at him.

"Mumma! When did you come?" Shubman asked, surprised but happy to see her. He quickly put down the shirt he was holding and walked toward her.

"I just got here a few minutes ago," Keart replied, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "Thought I'd check on you. Looks like you're cleaning your closet, huh?" She raised an eyebrow, amused.

Shubman scratched the back of his head, chuckling. "Yeah, it was long overdue. Plus, I need some space for all the new clothes I keep getting from tours." He gestured to the pile of neatly folded clothes on his bed.

Keart walked over and sat down on the edge of his bed, looking around his room as if reminiscing. "You've been so busy lately, beta. I hardly see you at home anymore."

Shubman's face softened. He sat beside her, feeling a slight twinge of guilt. "I know, Mumma. I've been caught up with practice and matches. But I'll make time for you and dad, I promise."

Keart smiled and placed a hand on his cheek, her eyes filled with affection. "I know you're doing great things, Shubman. But don't forget, life is more than just work and cricket. We've always wanted you to find happiness outside of all this too."

He nodded, understanding the deeper meaning behind her words. "I know. I'm... trying, Mumma. Sara and I are taking things slow, getting to know each other."

Keart's smile widened, clearly pleased to hear her son's openness about the relationship. "That's good to hear. I just want you to be happy, beta. I know things might not be easy at first, but love takes time. Don't rush it, but don't be afraid to let yourself feel either."

Shubman gave a soft smile, appreciating his mother's gentle advice. "Thanks, Mumma. I think I'm starting to understand that."

As Shubman and Keart sat in the room, their quiet conversation was interrupted by the sudden, playful sound of Shahneel's voice.

"Well, well, what do we have here? A mother-son bonding session without me?" Shahneel teased as she walked into the room, crossing her arms and pretending to be offended.

Keart looked over at her daughter and chuckled. "Oh, don't be dramatic, Shahneel. You've always had him wrapped around your finger," she said, shaking her head with a smile.

Shubman smirked and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, right. You're the one she runs to when she wants something."

Shahneel gasped in mock indignation. "Excuse me! Mumma, are you just going to let him say that about me?" she pouted, walking over and sitting on the bed beside her mother, leaning her head on her shoulder.

Keart glanced at Shubman, then at Shahneel, and playfully sighed. "What can I say? You two are both my favorites. But today, I'm on Shubman's side. He's been working hard, and he deserves a little break from all the teasing."
