The next morning Pixal awoke normally. She didn't think about last night because she didn't want to. She kept telling herself there was no need to think about that.
'Of course Borg didn't think of her as family, it wasn't his fault it was hers. If she wasn't so different from everything and everyone maybe he would like her more. Of course she tried to be 'normal' but it wasn't something that she could just change.'
Borg didn't call her which was surprising, she was expecting him to want breakfast at this time. Apparently he was busy is what she assumed anyway. She walked out of her room and looked around the tower. It looked incredibly different in the daytime than it did at night. Everything was still glowing but it was much fainter than it had been. People were coming and going very quickly through the glass double doors as well. Most of which were wearing worker uniforms. They seemed to walk right past her as if they didn't see she was there. Pixal stepped out of the way of one of them and she calculated that they would've hit her if she hadn't moved. None of them stopped to even look at her which wasn't unusual as most had gotten used to her presence. She hadn't seen Borg all morning which was unusual.
"Excuse me Miss, do you know where Cyrus Borg is?" One of the workers had actually stopped to ask her something.
Pixal wasn't expecting the question but she paused to be able to answer it clearly. "Borg is on the top floor of the building in his office. I have not seen him all day so I do not know if he would like visitors." Pixal responded as efficiently as she could.
She did know where he was only because she looked into the security cameras for a brief moment to find him. That was something she didn't normally do but she was connected to most of the technology in the city so it wasn't hard for her to control something with the blink of her eye or flick of her wrist. The worker looked at her with an odd expression, one of which she couldn't quite comprehend. He walked off without saying anything else which was odd. The people of Ninjago City or rather New Ninjago City now were always friendly. Pixal found herself looking for the worker who walked away. It didn't take her long to find him. The worker was standing in front of the elevator, most likely trying to get to Borg. The elevator opened and Pixal noticed herself watching it close. The numbers on the front began to change rapidly as the elevator ascended. Pixal found a sort of wonder while watching the elevator. It wasn't until now that she realized she had never gone inside of it. A mixture of curiosity and wonder flooded her head.
Questions began flowing like a waterfall that had previously been dammed up with sticks. Pixal became immediately overwhelmed by the thoughts and put her hands to her head in an attempt to get them to stop. She wasn't used to such thoughts and shook her head as if they were annoying flies. Thankfully for her that seemed to do the trick. As she repeated to herself that she wasn't supposed to feel all these emotions. Pixal forgot what she was looking at before and began walking around the lobby. She still felt that odd sensation in her brain of what it had told her was an overwhelming feeling. She had never felt overwhelmed before and she definitely did not like it. Her hands had a sort of shakiness to them and she wondered if this feeling was similar to the unknown one she felt last night. She couldn't decide if it was and she didn't know how to address her feelings anyway. She started cleaning to take her mind off of things. With all the new employees coming in and out of the building there was a lot to be done to keep the lobby looking decently organized. It wasn't her job but she didn't know what else to do to keep her mind stationary.
The noise of the elevator coming down caught her attention. It wasn't very loud and the lobby was bustling with people, even still she heard it. She paused what she was doing and looked back at it. The doors made a ding and opened. Voices could be heard coming from the inside. Suddenly the room grew quiet.
