The Sovereign had returned. The war was over, and peace had settled over the lands like a comforting blanket. The people of the Thai Sovereign rejoiced, their hearts filled with relief and gratitude. The emperors, their warriors, and their families could finally breathe easy, knowing that the future was secure. The palace, once filled with the tension of battle and uncertainty, was now alive with the sounds of laughter and joy. Life had returned, and with it, a new chapter began.
The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden hue over everything, as a sense of anticipation filled the air.
In the quiet of their chambers, Book was sitting up in bed, a small bundle cradled in his arms. He looked down at his newborn son, whom they named Prince Kiet, with a soft smile that seemed to light up the room. Force was by his side, unable to take his eyes off their son.
"Look at him," Force whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "He's... he's everything, isn't he?"
Book nodded, his eyes shining with tears that he didn't bother to hide. "I never thought... after everything... that we'd have this moment," he said, his voice trembling slightly. He gently brushed a thumb over Kiet's tiny hand, feeling the warmth and softness that filled his heart with a kind of love he hadn't known was possible.
Soi Chan, standing at the foot of the bed, smiled warmly as she watched her grandson. "He's going to be a strong prince, Prince Kiet Jiratchapong Witthaya Nuengprakaew," Soi Chan said, her tone full of pride. "Just like his ancestors."
She patted Book's head once and then Keit's and then left the chamber giving the new parents some moments of privacy.
Force leaned in closer to Book, wrapping an arm around him as they both looked down at their son. "You've given me the world, my dear," Force whispered, kissing the top of Book's head.
Book leaned into the kiss, closing his eyes for a moment. "This is our own world," he murmured. He looked back down at Kiet, who was now beginning to stir, his tiny eyes blinking open for the first time. "And now... we have this little one to protect and love."
The room was filled with a peaceful silence, only the soft sounds of Kiet's tiny breaths breaking the stillness.
A month after, inside the grand palace of Phaiyut, the atmosphere was tense yet hopeful. Ohm paced outside the birthing chamber, his heart pounding with a mixture of anxiety and excitement. Every few moments, he would pause, straining to hear any sound from within, but all he could do was wait. The time felt like eternity as he imagined Nanon inside, enduring the pains of childbirth.
Mannorah, sensing Ohm's unease, placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "He is strong, Your Supreme Majesty," she said softly, her voice filled with calm assurance. "Nanon will bring forth a strong heir. Have faith."
Ohm nodded, trying to take comfort in her words, but his thoughts were with Nanon, hoping that everything would go smoothly. He knew Nanon was strong, but the fear of the unknown still gripped him tightly.
