I woke up the next morning before Draco. We had talked late into the night even after Nissa had sent us to bed. I was the first one awake. I was here Early in the morning on a Sunday. Might as well make my Family some breakfast. So, I let Draco sleep, and I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen. I dismissed the house elves. Normally yes, I would use their help, but I just wanted to be alone right now.

I Cut up an avocado and made some Toast. I cooked, seasoned, and scrambled some eggs. I cut up a few tomatoes, made some Bacon, and concocted some freshly squeezed orange juice from some oranges I had collected from the orange trees outside in the back garden. I set it all out on the table. Then as a finishing touch I went back to the Garden and collected some Strawberries, Grapes, and Raspberries. I took the fruit inside and washed it. When I came out of the kitchen to put it on the table I saw Luci sitting with a plate and Nissa Serving herself.

"Good morning, Mae!" Nissa Greeted as she set her now full plate down and poured herself some Juice.

"Morning Nissa!" I greeted back. "Morning Luc" I nodded to Lucius. And he nodded back.

"As thankful as I am dear... Why the Breakfast?" she asked me as I held out the bowl of fruit to Luci so he could take some.

"What? I can't Make my family some Breakfast when I stay over?" I asked with a smile moving over to her and offering her the same fruit.

"You can but I'm just wondering why. Aren't you tired? You and Draco stayed up Very late last night." she reminded me.

"Ya know? Surprisingly, I'm not that tired. I've actually had a really good night's sleep. Even if I only got a few hours... I slept Peacefully rather than tossing and turning all night. Must be something to do with being home." I smiled. She just nodded

"Well, you know you're welcome to visit and stay the night Any time." She took a bite of her toast. "And feel free to bring Severus at some point. We don't get to see him much."

"Other than the odd Holiday. Yes, I know Niss." I rolled my eyes in a sarcastic tone. I see him every day I would rather not see him when I come here to get away from him.

"Now, Now Mae, is that any way to think about your husband?" Lucius spoke. He had read my thoughts.

"It's true though. I see him every day. It was fine seeing him for the holidays before. But now I actually live with him. I came here because I missed you guys, but I also just needed a break from his face." I clarified.

"And because you needed a night to Process the Feelings, you're starting to have for him" Draco said as he entered the room. I shot him a Glare.

"Shut up Draco. That's not true."

"Hey im only Retelling what you told me."

"I said nothing of the sort."

"Whatever you say little miss Butterflies when he helped you make cookies." he rolled his eyes and sat down looking at the food I had put on the table. "This looks great! Thanks Mae!"

"Yeah, yeah... whatever." I whispered as I sat down in my chair and prepared my avocado toast. "Hey thanks for keeping my garden alive. It's much better Using Fresh of the vine ingredients." I smiled at Nissa. She loved making food with me, so she was happy to garden with me.

"Of course, Dear! I know how much it means to you. Especially the Apple Tree." she smiled

"I love that apple tree." I looked down thinking about my mother. That was her tree. It's been alive for over 60 years. It was my grandmother's tree first. Then My mothers. And my mother promised to me just before she passed. Through magic I was able to move the tree here when I moved. It was in poor condition any time I would come back from school when I lived with Grant Because he would do the bare minimum to take care of it. He knew how much that tree meant to my mom, yet He barely took care of it for me. It took So much effort to restore it when I moved it and myself here.
