A few days passed and we talked some more just making small talk trying to become better friends. "Have a good day." I say to him as he makes his way out the door
He glanced back at me over his shoulder his expression was softer by the slightest bit than normal. "Thank you." he replied as he closed the door behind him. And left for his classes.
While he was away all day I did my normal things. I tidied up my room a little bit. I did some reading. And I finished off my time alone watching tv.
I saw him in the corner of my eye watching, not wanting to interrupt. After a while i turned my head slightly to him and smiled.
He cleared his throat and walked further into the room. Settling into the armchair opposite from the couch I was on. "How was your day?" he asked me.
"It was fine. Your?"
"Exhausting." he admitted. "The students seem more restless than usual."
"Mm"
"And yourself then? How was your day.?" he leaned into his chair; his head leaned back relaxing.
"Average. I cleaned my room a bit, I did some reading And watched some tv." At the mention of the tv I turned it off so we could have a better-quality chat.
His eyes widened slightly when I turned off the tv. I guess he thought I was rude enough to leave it on while we talked. "An Average day. Sounds rather peaceful compared to mine. Did you find any interesting books?" He asked. I could tell his curiosity piqued a little.
"Oh yess. I did. I started reading a book called Good Omens." I smiled and pointed to the book on the side of the table next to him. As I had been sitting there when I was reading earlier. "It's about an angel and a Demon Working together to stop Armageddon."
He raised his eyebrow from interest. "Good omens?" he paused. "Sounds Interesting." he murmured and reached out and picked up the book to inspect it. A Brief silence fell between us as he flipped through the pages, studying it. "What drew you to this particular story?" he questions gently, setting it aside to focus his attention fully on me.
I smiled at his question. "It's a book Ginny Recommended me. She knows I Love fantasy. And Romance, Mythology and more. She recommended a few other books. But I'm starting with that one." I say setting down my glass of water on the side table next to me.
I could tell on his face that he was intrigued by my taste in books. "Romance and Mythology hm?" he mused aloud. "Interesting..." he noticed my empty glass as i put on the table. "Would you care for another drink?" he asked me
I looked at my glass. "Oh no it's fine. I should be starting dinner anyway. What do you want?" I stand up as he is about to respond. I walk a few steps, and I Scream in pain and clutch my back and my front as I fall to the ground. Shit! I think.

I noticed her place her now empty glass on the side table "Would you care for another drink?" I asked her.
She looked at her glass. "Oh no it's fine. I should be starting dinner anyway. What do you want?" She stands up as I'm about to respond with Pizza sounds fine. She walked a few steps, and she screamed in pain and clutched her back and her front as she fell to the ground. Shit! I hear her think to herself screaming in pain in her head.
Watching her Crumple to the floor my heart Skipped a beat. My initial reaction was one of concern, quickly followed by alarm. I rushed to her side. Kneeling down beside you. "May?! What's Wrong!?!" I Demanded urgently placing a hand on her back to provide support. "Tell me where it hurts!" My mind raced with possibilities from a simple strain to something much more serious.
She clutched her lower back and her lower abdomen telling me that's where it hurt the most. "I-I'm F-F-Fine." She lied. "Just, Ca-can you help me t-To my bed." She avoided making eye contact. But I saw the pain contorting in her face.
"Of course, I will assist you." I assured her firmly, wrapping my arms around her waist and lifting her up Bridal style. We arrived in her room, and I laid her on the bed. The second I did she Grabbed a pillow and molded it into the shape of a cylinder and stuffed it under her back. "Does the pillow help?" She nodded yes as she adjusted the pillow a little more. "Is there anything else I can do?" I stood beside her bed. Waiting for her to say something.
"I won't be able to make dinner tonight. So go ahead and eat in the great hall. Just bring me back something after you're done." She spoke. Trying her best to mask the pain in her voice.
I nodded slowly, understanding the implication behind her words. "Very well..." I agreed curtly "I shall bring you something" Without another word I turned away from her and headed towards the door. I don't know why but I felt a pang of guilt for leaving her alone in pain.
*
About 15 minutes later. I walked into her room she spotted me "two plates?" She questioned I sat on the foot of the bed and handed her a plate.
"Yes, two plates." She took her plate and sat up the best she could without moving much. "I thought we could share a meal." I didn't want to admit I wanted to make sure she was ok. As I started eating, I fixed my gaze on her eyes. Observing the way she handled her plate and ate while in pain. Somehow, she looked so graceful eating in bed. And in pain.
I guess she could see the worry in my face as soon after she looked at me, she spoke softly "I'm fine. Really. Don't worry about it." She said taking a bite of her food probably hoping I wouldn't press the issue further. But I spoke anyway. I needed to know why that had happened.
"I'm not oblivious to your condition. Collapsing in such a manner suggests something far more serious than mere fatigue." I spoke my tone was stern yet tinged with underlying worry. "Please tell me true oh what going on. What caused you such agony?" I leaned forward and almost placed my hand on her knee to comfort her but chose against it... that would be crossing a line.
She stayed silent for a long moment. Before she sighed and tried to get it out of the way as least embarrassingly as possible. "Fine. I uh. I have and Irregular Cycle." She
"An irregular cycle? Are you referring to... menstrual issues?" I asked her I could feel Blush rushing to my cheeks this was not necessarily a topic I was comfortable with.
"Yes. I have an irregular Menstrual Cycle. And it uh... when it does come it's Very Painful. So much so it hurts to walk.... Or move..." she paused. "The day before I get my period, I get hit with intense pain in my lower back... and... it's painful enough that if I'm up and about when it hits. I'm likely to fall to the floor in pain.
I listened to her speak. "Is there nothing you can do to ease the pain?" I asked prepared to go and grab a pain potion. "Any potions... spells?"
"Ha!" She laughed loudly and suddenly then grab her stomach in pain before continuing. "No. I've tried. Believe me. None are very effective. At least not for me. It's different for everyone. But I haven't found one that helps me."
"Is there anything I can do to assist you?" I asked I went to move my hand to hold hers but found the distance I thought there was between our hands was a very short and practically nonexistent distance.
"I'm alright thank you." She said with a soft smile.
"Very well. If you need anything let me know. I'm going to go and prepare for tomorrow's lessons." And with that I stood up and she grabbed my hand.
"Wait. I would warn you, I guess. Umm. I get... very moody... and I mean... extremely moody." She said with a warning tone. I nodded and left the room.

This Chapter is split in 2 parts. (I know a good chunk of readers don't like the Menstrual Cycle being brought up, but I needed to because it's an important part of their bonding.
