Draco Pov

We were at the dinner table Mother, Father, And I. We certainly didn't expect the fireplace to light up green. However, it was a pleasant surprise who came through the green flames.

"Hello Favorite People!" Mae said as she Held up a plate of cookies. Man, her cookies were good. "I brought Some Cookies!" She said with a smile.

"Mae Dear How nice to see you!" Mother said Standing from her seat and going over to hug Mae.

"Nissa How I've missed you." Mae said with a pleased voice. "All of you really."

"You're welcome to pop in at any time Mae" father spoke standing up next and giving her a strong handshake.

I stood up next and grabbed the cookies from her and practically shoved one in my mouth.

"Nice to see you too, Dray" she said, rolling her eyes. I just looked at her with a smile full of cookies. Not very proper but who cares... other than father. He wasn't paying enough attention though.

"May I ask what Has you bringing us cookies Dear?" Mother asked.

"I just wanted to see my Family." Mae smiled sweetly with a small head tilt as she responded.

"Well, that's alright then. Will Your husband be joining us?" Mae Froze at mothers' response only for a moment. She was Quick on her feet and thought of what to say quickly.

"No. He had some work to do. I thought I might leave him alone and come visit."

"Will you be staying the night?"

"If I May that would be Greatly Appreciated Nissa."

"I'll have the Elf's make your bed. Your room is the same as you left it dear." Mother said, smiling and giving Mae another hug.

"Any plans for tonight?" Mae asked. When no one answered she took the opportunity to suggest a game.

"What kind of game?" Father asked. Although we could all guess the answer. Mae liked one game the most and she loved Making us play. Nothing could convince her that another game was better. Although I had come close a few times.

Mae simply smiled cheekily as she made her way to the game closet. That simply told us all to sit down and get ready. "WHO'S READY FOR SOME EXPLODING SNAP!" Mae Said away excitedly. We all put on a fake little cheer to indulge her.

I let out a small sigh. Mae glared at me as if to tell me to shut up. I obliged. For a Hufflepuff she can be very scary when she wants to be. I remember one time the first summer she stayed with us she scared me into telling her I was Gay. Not a fun way to Leave the Closet. But I'm glad she did it. Let me Have someone to Confide in.

We played Exploding snaps for a while and eventually moved onto other games. We snacked on cookies, and we had the house elf's make popcorn. And we sat down to watch a Tv Show to end the night. We picked Lucifer. A Show we all loved. We used to watch every Saturday before Mae left.

We watched a Good few episodes before Mother and father decided to hit the hay.

Me and Mae talked for a while just sitting and chilling on the living room floor where we had moved to. I don't know why but the best deep talks are when you're on the floor.

"And We were just so close. I almost wanted him to kiss me." Mae said. continuing her story about making the cookies she had brought us.

"Did he?"

"No heavens no. I let go and turned away to work on something else." She said as if it was Just So Obvious.

"Mae, are you sure it's not possible you might be growing feelings for him?" I asked Taking a cookie and shoveling it in my mouth.

"Draco Don't be Ridiculous! Like that would ever happen!" She defended herself.

"No never Of course not.... But maybe don't be so closed off to the idea."

"Dray, he's Like a Million years older than me! He's the same age as Grant." Her face grew disgusted at the thought of her biological father. And the fact her husband is the same age as him.

"I get that Mae, but he is Your husband." I reasoned.

She stared at me blankly trying to intimidate me. "Don't even dray. Don't. Even." She spoke darkly

Merlin she's scary when she wants to be. "I won't.... But-"

"Don't."

"Fine." I agreed. Alright time to change the topic then. "So, Harry and I Might make it official." I smiled. That piqued her interest.

"Oooh! Do tell!" She got excited. So, I did. I did tell. And We talked So long and so much that We only saw the time when my mother had walked past to get a glass of milk when she stopped us.

"My kids. Go to bed. It's 4 am." Mom spoke softly with a smile. We looked at the clock and our eyes opend wide

"Oh snap. Come on dray let's go" Mae said as she stood up and offered me a hand which I took. "Thanks, Niss" she said, hugging mom on her way out of the open living dining room area.

I suspected she might be in my bed by the time I got there with the speed she had left so that I couldn't protest. I stayed and talked a bit with my mother. "How's She doing dear?" Mother asked, concerned.

"Shes been really depressed. But she's been hanging out with Ginny when she can and that's been helping." I told my mother.

"Well, that's good. I'm glad she has a support system." She smiled sleepily and took a sip of her milk.

"I reminded her she can visit any time she needs a break from the Old Git."

"Draco Don't call him that he's your Godfather!" She scolded

"... wait. Does that make Mae, my... Godmother?" I asked confused and half joking. Me and mother looked at each other for a moment before we burst out laughing. I guess we were both more tired than we cared to admit.
