Chapter 15 - Under the Water

Cole tries to follow the seawing, who flashes her scales to light up the area to make sure that each dragon doesn't get caught on the seaweed that takes up half of the cave. Turning back to look, he sees Kai with his cheeks puffed out, holding his breath, and looks at the other side to see Zane pulling Jay and Lloyd closer to the Mudwing.

Zane nods as his blue eyes see the piercing green starting at him, and Cole rumbles as he slowly spreads his wing to link the claw on his wing to Jay's, who instantly moves closer to the larger dragon.

The seawing looks back and forces her bioluminescence scales flash, then she motions up, by pointing her dull claws up. Both, Cole and Zane nod, before they follow her up a hole in the water system that leads them to a cave with more glowworms on the roof.

Nya climbs out and helps the others out of the water as the dragonets – minus Cole- gasps for air and shaking the water off their scales as they stumble forward. The seawing looks at each of them and frowns.

"I am sorry." Her voice is soft, and she has her ears down, Kai looks at her confused as he tilts his head, as a hissing noise fills the cave. "You did not know that she was working with the Dark Lord." He hums while the others nod.

Cole taps his claws against the ground as she steps forward to study each of them. "Can any of you actually fight?" She asks, which makes the others look at each other. "Kai and Cole mostly fought with each other." Jay hums as he looks at the red and brown dragon.

"We only fought so much because there was nothing to do in that cave!" Kai hisses out as he bares his teeth, then stops as Cole hits him with his wing over his head. Nya nods as she looks at each of them again.

Kai walks around the room, studying everything. Then he turns to look at the others. "What now?" He asks then they turn to look at Lloyd, who is sitting between Cole and Jay, looking more confused.

Zane steps forward, gaining everyone's attention. "Asking the Queen of the seawings and Rainwings for help went wrong." He mumbles as he walks around a lot, the others looking at each other worried. "We can't go to any other tribe. What do we do?" Zane groans out.

Jay looks at each of the dragons with a hum. "Maybe, we should take down each leader?" Jay smiles as the others look at him in shock. Kai steps forward as he flicks his tail a small bit. "Then what?" Kai growls out. "Take out the Dark Lord?" He hisses as he glares at Jay.

Zane steps forward. "I think that's what we should do" Zane looks at each of the dragons, then he looks at Lloyd. Kai snarls. "We aren't strong enough!" He shouts then he looks at Cole, who is hiding Lloyd with his tail as the cave starts to feel hotter, by the second. "Why aren't you stepping in?" Kai snarls as he watches as Cole opens his wings up.

"We don't need a plan it all straight away" Zane says as Kai hisses and glares at him. "Fine!" He yells as he turns away.
