When I woke up the next morning, it was to my phone ringing. "Hey Haze, I hope I didn't wake you," Dewey said.
"It's okay. What's up?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"Uhm, you should probably head over to the station."
"Is everything okay?"
He sighed. "Sort of. I'll explain when you get here."
I got up, and got dressed before heading downstairs. I paused when I saw Mark sitting in the kitchen with my mom and Jim. "Mark?" I asked, walking closer. "What are you doing here?"
"I heard about what happened and rushed over. The bedroom door was locked, so your parents said I could sleep down here," he explained, coming closer and setting his hands on my arms. "Are you okay?"
I sighed, getting annoyed by everyone asking that. "Yes, I'm fine. You shouldn't be here, you're supposed to be in court."
"I told the judge everything this morning and he excused me."
I looked into his eyes, but still felt tense, worried about him being here when I don't know what the boys have planned. I pushed that aside for now, pulling him into a hug. He hugged back, kissing the top of my head before I pulled away. "Dewey called and asked for me to come in, I think something happened," I told him and my mom.
"I'll drive us," Mark said and my mom smiled at us.
"Be careful," she said as we left the house.

Once we got to the station, we walked in and right to Dewey. He looked surprised to see Mark with me. "Mark, nice to see you again," he said, holding out his hand.
"You too," Mark smiled, shaking his hand.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Right," Dewey said, turning back to me. "Well, your publicist, Rebecca was murdered last night."
"What?" I looked at him in shock. "When?"
"About an hour after the attack. She was thrown from the top of the parking garage, and landed on one of the ambulances during our press release."
I cringed, thinking about that, glad I wasn't there. "Wow," I mumbled.
"Also, uhm, well, just come with me," he sighed, heading over to one of the conference rooms. We paused outside the window and my eyes widened seeing Billy and Stu sitting inside. "They came in this morning asking to be a part of the investigation, to help us."
Mark and I exchanged a look. "You can't be serious," he bitterly laughed, shaking his head. The boys looked at us through the window, looking surprised to see Mark beside me.
"I wasn't sure what to think, so I asked them to wait in here. They seem pretty cooperative. Gave me the number to their PO and he said they're doing great since they got out." Dewey looked between Mark and me nervously.
"They seriously asked to help?" Mark asked.
"Yeah," Dewey sighed.
I looked back into the room, trying my best to hold back a smile. So this was their plan. Stu smiled at us, waving before Billy pushed his hand back down, mumbling to him. "Can I talk to them?" I asked.
Mark looked at me in shock, "Are you crazy?"
I turned to him with a frown. "What? They've been locked up for 10 years, and are asking to help this investigation. I'd like to talk to them."
His eyes searched my face, looking hesitant to agree. "I don't think it's a good idea."
"Well, it's not your decision," I said defiantly, turning to look at Dewey.
