New York, New York
Wednesday, Nov. 6"I'm scared."
"Girl..."
"I can't do it!"
"You're about to piss me off."
LaLa laughed softly, watching as Beyoncé and Kelly went back and forth about who would open the results for the blonde's math exam. Both women had Beyoncé's Macbook between them, bickering like a married couple while Kelly's roommate, LaLa, watched the scene unfold. It amazed her how close the two were. She'd known Kelly for almost four years, and although they were extremely good friends, they hadn't clicked as quickly or as closely as she and Beyoncé had.
"Beyoncé, open this damn Scores tab so we can celebrate," Kelly groaned, rolling her eyes in frustration.
"You have to open it for me. Please?" Beyoncé stressed.
LaLa stood up from her seat and walked over, grabbing the laptop. Even though she thought Kelly and Beyoncé's friendship was cute, she wasn't sure if she would last another second listening to their back and forth arguing.
"Okay, it says... You need to score at least a 145 on each subject to pass and scoring higher can have additional benefits. Blah blah. Okay, so you need a 145 or higher to pass. Kelly, what do you think she got?" LaLa asked, looking up from the screen.
"A 160? Is that possible? What's the range?" Kelly asked excitedly.
LaLa immediately grinned. "A 160 is definitely possible, but it says here that Beyoncé scored a 198 in Math. You passed!"
"Yesss! I told you, Bey!" Kelly yelled proudly, attacking Beyoncé with a hug.
Beyoncé laughed, falling over on the couch as Kelly landed on top of her. All of the fear and stress of her exam score quickly disappeared, and her body relaxed for the first time in a few days. She wrapped her arms around Kelly, returning the hug.
"Congrats," LaLa smiled widely.
"Thank you," Beyoncé smiled. "Kelendria, get your big butt off of me!"
Kelly sat up, playfully smacking her arm. "You learned my government name once and act like you can't stop saying it. Anyway, I got you a cake and some flowers because I knew you would pass. I'm so proud of you, Bey. Just imagine where you'll be this time next year."
"That's too far away," Beyoncé laughed softly.
"Girl, bye. A year is nothing. You could be rich in a year. Matter of fact, you will be rich in a year because you have a billionaire wife," Kelly smirked.
Beyoncé's cheeks slowly flushed red as she shook her head, looking away from Kelly. LaLa sat beside them, putting Beyoncé's laptop on the coffee table.
"She is not my wife," Beyoncé said.
"Wait, I want the tea," LaLa chimed in.
Kelly smirked, leaning over to look at her. "Bey is in a relationship with my boss."
"Nicki?!" LaLa asked, her jaw dropping.
"Yup! They so cute and gay. I'm their number one fan," Kelly grinned.
LaLa looked at Beyoncé who was still blushing. "Girl, how the hell did you pull Nicki?! I mean, you definitely have the looks and personality, but damn. She's rich as hell. She's like 30, too."
"I don't know, we just kind of started liking each other the more we were together. She asked me to be her girlfriend in Monaco not too long ago," Beyoncé shrugged, looking down at her ring.
