Vira's POV

It was the next morning, and the sunlight was streaming through the curtains, waking me up far too early for my liking. I groaned, rolling over and trying to bury myself deeper into the sheets, hoping to escape reality for just a little while longer. But there was no use. My mind was already churning with thoughts of Ishan, Shubman, and the mess of emotions that came with them.

Just as I was about to give up on sleep altogether, my phone buzzed on the nightstand. I reached over and grabbed it, squinting at the screen. It was a text from Priya, and it was a long one.

Priya: *Hey, so I've been thinking...*

Priya: *You've been in your head a lot lately, and I know things have been rough with Ishan and Shubman.*

Priya: *Soooo, I took matters into my own hands. I invited Abhishek over tonight... and I told him to bring the hottest guy he knows. You need to get over someone, and I think a little distraction is exactly what you need! 😏*

My eyes widened as I read her messages, my sleepiness vanishing in an instant. She did what?

Before I could even process her plan, my phone buzzed again.

Priya: *Before you say anything-YES, I know you're going to freak out, but trust me, this will be good for you. Plus, Abhishek's friend is apparently a total hottie.*

I sat up in bed, running a hand through my hair, still tangled from sleep. What was she thinking? I didn't need a distraction, I needed to figure out what was going on with Ishan.

But as I thought about it more, a small part of me wondered if Priya was right. Maybe I did need something-or someone-to take my mind off things. It wasn't like Ishan and I were officially together or anything. And Shubman? Well, after that argument, I wasn't sure what we were anymore.

Me: *I can't believe you did that, Priya!*

Priya: *You'll thank me later, trust me. 😘*

Me: *I'm not looking for anything serious, you know that, right?*

Priya: *Of course! Just have fun, okay? No pressure.*

I sighed, finally getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom. Maybe Priya was right. Maybe tonight would be exactly what I needed. But even as I tried to convince myself of that, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt in the pit of my stomach.

Later, as I got ready for the evening, Priya popped into my room, her excitement practically radiating off her. She flopped down on my bed, watching me with a sly grin as I sorted through my clothes.

"Are you excited?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Not really," I admitted, pulling out a dress and holding it up. "But I'll play along. This better not be some awkward setup though."

Priya laughed. "Don't worry, Vira. Abhishek knows what he's doing. And besides, what's the worst that could happen?"

I gave her a look. "A lot, actually."

She just shook her head, smiling. "You'll be fine. Just... have fun. Let loose a little. You deserve it after everything that's happened."

I sighed, finally relenting. "Fine, but if this guy turns out to be a creep, you owe me."

Priya grinned, her victory sealed. "Deal."

As I finished getting ready, I couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and curiosity. Tonight could be a total disaster, or it could be exactly what I needed. Either way, I was about to find out.
