Hi guys...
This isn't a chapter, but more of just... me getting my frustration out.
BGT was something I'd been looking forward to since WC 2023, and I had such high hopes....
Losing the series 2-1 may have just been the most humiliating, painful thing to witness after the WC. We've been disqualified from WTC finals, and we've continued our losing streak....
And on top of that, the trolling our players are facing...
Vadapav? Chokli? I understand that these players didn't perform in this match, but what I hate the most is that, just a few months ago, people were praising these two for the T20 WC. It's fair enough to get frustrated at a player for consistently not performing, but I think we shouldn't forget their contributions in the past.
And Bumrah, man. What can I even say about this man? He's an absolute legend. He gave it his 200%, this entire series, performing consistently, match after match after match. We don't deserve him...
His workload has been so high, but he persevered through it, holding up the game with the ball, and even made contributions with the bat. I don't think there was anyone more deserving than Bumrah to get man of the series.
But that's the problem. We're stuck with individual trophies, but BGT, WTC... they're still out of our grasp. Hoping for a strong comeback from Team India. I have faith. We can do it.
But my humble request to all of you, I know I'm not much of an authoritative figure- I'm simply just a writer that you guys chose to follow- but please, please don't troll our team. They're players from OUR country. They've brought us some beautiful emotions and historical wins.
Obviously, I don't know how the players are feeling internally, but I do know that seeing horrible comments will definitely make them lose their confidence. I know we've been losing matches a lot recently, it's frustrating, yes, but it won't last forever.
