kelsey pregnant with her daughter gianna at 15 was left to raise her alone. abandoned by the baby's father and her parents. now she's a pro basketball player who's force to miss half of her daughters life being on the road.
"mom i can't. i can't do this" she said wiping her face.
"stop saying you can't. yes you can you just gotta keep going" i said throwing her the ball.
she dribbled and tried to do a reverse layup but i blocked it. i watched as she huffed and wiped her face.
"gianna where you going ?"
"i can't do it mom. it's too much and your being to hard on me" she said as tears ran down her face.
"ik it hurts baby but you gotta keep going. your only gonna get better. giving up isn't gonna help you. no matter how hard it get you gotta keep going with confidence. you got this"
"now let's go. try again." i said wiping her face.
"here go" i said throwing the ball at her. i watched as she dribbled & and did a reverse layup and it went in. even thought i fouled.
"YUHHH."
"see there you go baby. you did and i told you, you could. that would be an and 1" i said hugging her.
"thank you for pushing me mommy.. i really needed it" she said.
"ofc.. im not just a harda** on the court imma push you to be the best you can as well" i said grabbing my phone and keys.
once we got home gigi and i went straight to the showers lol. after shower i walked downstairs to the kitchen. i grabbed my phone and jackie texted me and lmk she was coming over.
a few minutes later she knocked and i told her to come in.
"hey how was training with gigi ?" jackie asked.
"good.. she was getting frustrated and so unmotivated but yk i had to bring out that coach in me" i said laughing.
"yeah cus you a harda** when it comes to basketball i know you gave her that extra push she needed" she said making me laugh and nod.
"most definitely" i said as gigi came downstairs. her hair was wet and curly.
"ouu your curls are so cute" jackie said.
"thank you tete" gigi smiled sitting down.
"okay so i wanna know how you found out you were pregnant with me" gigi said making me smile.
"uh let's see so i remember going to a party that friday. your dad and i just celebrated our 2nd anniversary together. i promised him that if they made it to the championships i would yk".
"they did and they won. my parents were out of town i invited him over and it happened. am i proud of it absolutely not but i gained a blessing from it".
"but anyway.. about a week or two later i kept throwing up and my teammate was like take a pregnancy test cus they knew we slept together. so i took it before our game to make sure and it was positive".
"i was shooketh you hear me lol. i cried but like it was scared but happy tears at the same time. i told my coach and then my parents and they were not happy so they kicked me out and i was staying with one of my teammates" i said.
"did you want a boy or girl ?" gigi asked.
"i didn't really care.. i just knew that when i gave birth i was gone give you the world and that's all i was worried about or cared about" i said.
"PERIOD" jackie yelled making me laugh.

"guys my tete said she don't love me" i said sitting down at the island.
my mom had a doctors appointment so im at my aunt jackie's house.
"gigi be so fr.. i never said that" she said shaking her head.
"okay what did you say then ?" i said pointing the camera at her.
"i said you can't have seafood because it's gonna make you sick" she said making me huff.
"okay and that's your way of saying you don't love me. i love seafood" i said.
"girl that is not the same thing" aunt jackie said laughing.
"so are you gonna have any kids ?" i asked.
"no ma'am.. i have never been a kids person. they are so bad omg lol" aunt jackie said.
"good im all you need" i said making her laugh.
"aww don't worry you'll always be my favorite niece" aunt jackie said kissing my forehead.
"mm im your only niece" i said.
"exactly" she said handing me a plate of breakfast.
"so you really don't eat cereal ?" i asked shocked.
"i mean not really.. it's not that i don't like it i just don't really care for it" she said
"it's giving boujie miss don't eat chicken off the bone" i said.
"man i can't explain it i eat chicken tho lol" she said.
"your so picky and boujie for someone who ain't have much food as a kid" i said.
"ik and i can't explain it lol. but i will say i still eat a lot and i still love food" she said.
"i can tell look at your humongous back" i said making her eyes widen. she gasped and coughed.
"oh really gianna ?? yep your unnieced and ykw else ? you can't have this anymore" she said taking my plate.
"hey im not done".
"get out. your not welcome here anymore" she said making me laugh.
"im kidding tete.. you look good dead serious" i said.
"ik im kidding" she said sliding my plate back over to me.
"so what's the diet routine ??" i asked.
"i don't have one. i just love to workout and that's what got my body into shape. baby i still eat everything im not supposed to & never cared" she said making us laugh.
we walked to her back yard to go swimming since my mom is gonna come over and join us when her doctors appointment is done.
