Practicing to sitch pt2

This is part two of the last chapter.

In the morning when shops started to open, Tinman went to get stuff for the quilt. Scarecrow got everything set to make it. When Tinman got back, he and Scarecrow did their morning duties. When the two were finishing up, a Winkie soldier came in.

"Sirs, you got letters" the Winkie soldier said. "There from the Emerald city and the Forest"

"Thank you ma'am" Tinman happily said.

Thank you" Scarecrow thanked the soldier.

"No problem sirs" the Winkie soldier replied with a bow and left.

Tinman opened one and Scarecrow opened the other. They both read the letters.

"Ok, this one is from Lion, he says he can try to help" Scarecrow happily laughed.

"This one is from Ozma, she and the others are going to make some time to do a little bit of the quilt" Tinman chuckled.

"Wonderful" Scarecrow happily said. "Let's get started on our part"

Scarecrow and Tinman went to Scarecrow's room where all of the stuff was at. Tinman put a thread through the needle hole for Scarecrow. Tinman handed that needle to his friend and got ready his own needle and thread.

"We will put some patch drawings on the quilt of one of our many adventures" Scarecrow happily said.

"I see" Tinman happily said. "It's here in the middle, right?" Tinman asked Scarecrow while pointing at the drawing Scarecrow made.

"Yep, that's right" Scarecrow said.

"I will start on it if you want me to" Tinman happily offered.

"Go right ahead Nick. You're much better at smaller stitching" Scarecrow happily said.

The two friends started on the quilt. Tinman did some cutting for the patch drawing. Scarecrow started to sew some of the bigger pieces of cloth together.

Lion had some needles, thread, and cloth to make his part of the quilt. He had it on hand for Scarecrow but he knows the next time, he will bring some more cloth. Lion stitched the cloth together quite poorly as he isn't good at sewing.

Ozma and Jack got some cloth, needles, and thread for them and the others. Billina and Mr. Gump picked their colored clothes that they wanted for the quilt since they couldn't sew. Tiktok helped with the cutting and putting the thread through the needle holes. Ozma did the most of the sewing with Jack trying to help.

Soon, Lion was done with his part and Ozma with the others were done. They sent their parts to the west for Scarecrow and Tinman to finish up the quilt.

"And these pieces go here and these ones over here and we stitch it up" Scarecrow planned out loud for the Tinman.

"Slow down there, friend" Tinman chuckled. "I'm not that fast at sewing"

"Oh, sorry Nick" Scarecrow chuckled as he started to help with the sewing.

"It's alright" Tinman chuckled.

After that night, the quilt was done.

"We got done with this a few days earlier than expected" Scarecrow happily said.

A few days later, Dorothy was brought to the Emerald city by Ozma for her birthday. All of Dorothy's friends were there. There were games and food and a lot of fun to be had. Soon it was gift time. Everyone sat in a circle and Scarecrow handed Dorothy the gift.

"This gift is from all of us Dorothy, we hope you like it" Scarecrow happily said.

"I'm sure I will, Scarecrow" Dorothy happily said.

Scarecrow smiled as he sat in the circle with everyone else. Dorothy quickly started to unwrap the gift. When she finished unwrapping it, she saw a quilt. It had many colors, from pink, from purple, from blue, from orange, from red and many more. In the middle, there's a sewed on picture with Dorothy and all of her friends she made in Oz. She smiled and wiped a few happy tears away.

"Oh everyone" Dorothy started. "I love it" she happily said.

Dorothy and everyone happily did a group hug to show their happiness.

"We're glad you love it, Dorothy" Scarecrow happily whispered to Dorothy still in the group hug.
