Dorothy quickly went up to the mirror on the desk.
"Ozma" Dorothy said in a happy whisper.
"Dorothy" Ozma happily replied in a whisper.
"How's it going in Oz?" Dorothy asked.
"It's going wonderful at the moment" Ozma happily replied. "Thank you for asking"
"No problem" Dorothy replied.
"How's it going in Kansas" Ozma asked.
"Well, we're having a bit of trouble on the farm but otherwise it's going ok" Dorothy replied. "And how is everyone else like Scarecrow and Tinman and Jack?"
"They're doing well" Ozma happily replied.
"Wonderful" Dorothy happily said.
Jack then appeared behind Ozma in the mirror.
"Hi, DotDot" Jack happily but quietly said to Dorothy.
"Why hello Jack" Dorothy happily replied. "What's with the nickname?" Dorothy asked quietly.
"I thought it would be fun if I gave everyone nicknames" Jack happily said.
"That's great Jack" Dorothy happily said. "I can't wait to hear the other nicknames"
"I will tell you really soon, mom. Mom here has some news to share" Jack happily said.
Dorothy and Ozma looked at each other with smiles.
"What type of news?" Dorothy asked.
"We are having a form of a birthday party for Jack" Ozma happily said.
"I would like to invite you and your aunt and uncle to" Jack happily said.
"Really? Are you sure?" Dorothy asked.
Jack and Ozma happily nodded.
"Ok, I will try to tell them we're invited but they may not believe me" Dorothy sighed. "What time?"
"I will sommon you three after you had lunch" Ozma happily replied.
"Got it" Dorothy happily said.
"Dorothy lunch time" Aunt Em shouted down for Dorothy.
"I gotta go now, see you soon" Dorothy happily.
"See you soon Dorothy" Ozma happily nodded.
"Bye DotDot" Jack happily said.
Ozma and Jack disappeared from the mirror. Dorothy went to the kitchen where her aunt and uncle were with Toto.
"Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, Ozma invited us to a party" Dorothy happily told her aunt and uncle while sitting down.
"Oh, is that a new Oz friend of yours Dorothy" Uncle Henry happily joked with Dorothy.
"Why yes she is" Dorothy said. "She is going to wish us there after lunch"
"Really?" Uncle Henry said, clearly entertaining the idea at the moment.
"And who is this party for?" Aunt Em asked, also entertaining the idea.
"Another friend" Dorothy slowly said, unsure to continue. "Named Jack" Dorothy went anyways.
Over lunch, Dorothy slowly told her aunt and uncle about her new friends so it won't be such a shock. After lunch, Aunt Em quickly did the dishes while uncle Henry walked with Dorothy and Toto to her room.
