Kai | that afternoonI walked out of my hotel room to hang out with Georgia and KK. We decided to go shopping a bit, well, I did, they just tagged along like kids.
I was walking infromt of them as they continue to argue and talk at the loudest volume ever. I was looking for a good store to go into but stopped walking when I saw two blondes. One looked very familiar and the other looked unrecognizable. Who?
"Pooks, you know you need to walk in order to go to a store, right?" KK said, pushing me a bit.
"What happened?" Georgia noticed a slight change in my dimeanor. I shook my head and walked into a shoe store.
I heard KK and Georgia whisper behind me. "What was that for?" , "maybe she's hungry."
I continued to look for shoes and try to imagine myself making an outfit with certain shoes. But no matter how many times I try to think anout anything but the blondes, my mind kept crawling back to them.
Kate's ex was blonde too, right? What if she likes this blonde?
I decided on buying two different Adidas Gazelles. As we walk out of the shoe store, Georgia offered to buy wingstop.
"The usual?" Georgia askes, pointing to me as I nod. "I'll share with you," KK said after a few seconds of thinking.
When Georgia went in line, KK and I walked over to a table next to the window/wall. "The usual?" KK asked, as if she was teasing me.
"We used to get Wingstop a lot," I said, and she nods. I never was ashamed or felt bad about talking about what me and Georgia had. Nothing between us before was bad and ugly, so why portray or act like it was? I like Georgia, just not the way I used to.
"Its gonna be a few minutes," Georgia walks back and sits down, placing three drinks down.
"This is yours, and I wasn't too sure about what you like but I know you like Dr. Pepper," Georgia pushed the cup towards KK as KK excitedly started sipping agressively.
I got on mg phone to see if anyone posted something or texted me. I was always on dnd so i had to check my phone all the time. I just hate getting the notifications.
I saw Kate post a picture of her holding an ice cream out and some other girls hands' holding their ice cream out.
I sighed, unkowingly, then put my phone on the table. Which made both girls infromt of me look at me with concerning looks on their faces.
"Kate was with someone," I decided to just say it. I took a sip of my Coke. "When?" KK asked. "Like, two hours ago, and she just posted," I explained.
"I don't get it. She's being stupid," Georgia said, making both me and KK confused. "What are you on about?" I asked.
"Does she like you or not? It can't be a maybe-" "yes it can," I said, making Georgia shake her head. "You aren't hard to admire, you aren't hard to like, and most definitely, you aren't hard to love," Georgia then took a sip out of her drink.
I just stared at Georgia. "She's stupid if she can't look at you and make her mind up after months of looking at you, after knowing you, after being around you," Georgia looked down and fidgeted with her fingers before looking back up at me.
"She's a fool if she can't figure her shit out," She said, finally standing up and grabbing our order off the counter.
"Did any of that mean anything between you two?" KK whispered, looking at me, trying to find an answer. While my eyes stayed staring at the cup that Georgia's hands were wrapped around, trying to think about every person who has said the same thing about me. About me being easy to be loved. Paige, Georgia, Azzi, Sue Bird, Dorka, A'ja, Cameron, Aubrey. And I kept thinking of wether Kate agreed. If she knew that although everyone says it, I wouldn't believe it until SHE says it.
(This is a short one, but i decided to add a little spice 🤭)
