Noé was writing a letter for his Teacher, to update him on the situation, when he heard someone scream outside.
He stormed downstairs, just to find Vanitas ready to battle with The Book in his hands"It's our time to shine, Noé" he said smiling.
"I believe we shouldn't be this happy about another case of a curse bearer, Vanitas. That means Charlatan has struck again and someone's about to die, not to mention the possib-"
"Yeah yeah quit talking and follow me. We're gonna save them."
Noé obeyed and they ran outside.
They heard another scream, which led them to a dark and creepy alley. Noé was now advancing in front of Vanitas, keeping him behind his arm. He was unconsciously trying to protect him, because he was the only one capable of saving the curse bearer.
Fog was spreading everywhere, making the place even scarier than before, but Vanitas was a brave man.
"SHOW YOURSELF!" he yelled, not even a bit scared about the consequences of his action.
In the thick fog Noé noticed two bright red lights, the vampire was there. But he wasn't alone.
Beside him there was a smaller figure, the fog started to clear up and they both recognized who it was.White hair, light blue eyes. A familiar book in his hands.
"..Misha!?" Vanitas couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Was it really him?
Next to a curse bearer?
No, of course it wasn't him.And now that the fog was starting to disappear, Noé noticed a particular thing about the living being next to the child.
He had those eyes. The same eyes his Teacher and Murr had.
'It can't be him, right?' he thought, shocked by that discovery.Vanitas surpassed Noé, there was someone behind those two individuals. A girl.
"Vanitas.!!"
"Don't worry, I got this. I just need you to cover my back, alright?"
"But those are..."
"No. They're not, they're just some sort of trick, they're not the real ones. I can sense it."
"What? You can sense it? What do you mean!?"
"I'm gonna answer all those questions when we get back, now we have to save that girl!"
"Oh yes, I'm sorry!" Noé said, then his eyes became red and he quickly attacked the fake figures in front of them.
Vanitas jumped on the garbage cans nearby, kicked the wall and landed at the end of the alley, where the poor girl was, terrified from what had happened.
Vanitas had a strange feeling about that. The girl was scared, but somehow she had a really powerful aura, which made Vanitas question what was happening.
She surely was a vampire, he could see her canines and how she was trembling.
Trembling. She was trembling.
'That means she's a curse bearer' Vanitas took some steps back, and he bumped into Noé, who had just finished his task with the other two individuals. It was really a trap, they weren't actually there, it was just some weird mannequins made with trash. But he swore he saw those eyes earlier.
"She's trembling, Vanitas."
"No shit, Sherlock. Why do you think I stepped back?? I've seen that already. I'll figure out her true name and cure her. Then we'll take her to Count Orlok."
The trembling girl had light blonde hair, but they couldn't see her eyes because she was keeping them close.
"I, vampire doctor, Vanitas, am here to save you from your cruel fate as a curse bearer."
