Back at the hotel, Vanitas asked Miss Amelia for medications and Noé sat on his bed.

Vanitas took a sanitizer from the first aid kit and with a soft tissue he passed it on Noé's wound.

"Oh, Vanitas you don't have t-"

"Shut it. Does it hurt, dumbass?"

Noé looked away. "...a bit."

"Bear it. It's your fault."

"Wha- but you asked me!"

Vanitas continued to clean the bite, careful not to hurt the vampire.

Noé flinched a couple of times, but it wasn't such a terrible thing.

Besides, he liked how Vanitas was taking care of him. He could see that, despite being an asshole, he was worried about him.

"There you go! Now rest. I'll go on the roof for a bit." Vanitas applied a bandaid on the bite and started to get up from the bed.

"Wait-!" Noé held his wrist.

"?" Vanitas looked annoyed, to say the least.

"Don't go." Noé looked down at the hand he was holding. He noticed that the human wasn't wearing his gloves.
"...your gloves...?"

Vanitas sighed and sat down.

"I took them off to clean the wound. I didn't want your blood on them."

"Ah, yeah, makes sense..." Noé was quite embarrassed. He asked him to stay there but he didn't know why. He could join him on the roof, it's not like he couldn't move from his bed.

He didn't want to be alone. Neither did Vanitas.

He knew that.

Noé was aware that going to the roof was just an excuse, because Vanitas knew he'd eventually join him there, or so he hoped.

"So...do we just sit here in silence or do you have something to talk about?" Vanitas asked, he was getting a little uncomfortable, the silence between them wasn't the same as usual.

The vampire knew exactly what to ask him, and he was glad that Vanitas stayed there with him.

"Yeah, I do. Earlier, with the curse bearer...how did you know those shadows we saw weren't real people?"

"Oh, right. I said I would have told you here, uh alright well...I believe you know Misha has a book similar to mine, right? I can feel his presence since we share that book and part of the same blood." Vanitas ran his fingers on his blue mark.

"Oh...wait you share the same blood? What do you..."

"That's a long story, not today. Please." Vanitas seemed very reluctant to share even the smallest details about his past, and that just made Noé even more curious.

"Alright..." He was a bit sad, but he knew Vanitas' limits, and he was satisfied with the level of trust they currently had.

"Noé..?"

" Yes, Vanitas?"

"Doesn't the Blue Moon scare you? I mean, usually vampires are afraid of it because it's a sign of bad omen...and it's when curse bearers come alive"

"Nope, not at all. I've always loved it since I was a kid!" Noé smiled.

Vanitas was slightly relieved, he raised his head to look at Noé, his eyes softened at the sight of Noé's sweet and excited smile and a smile appeared on his own face too.

"Thank you." Were the words that escaped his mouth while he locked his gaze with those amethyst eyes.

"Vanitas..." Noè was enchanted.
The human had him mesmerized. His shiny blue eyes reminded him of the moon, his black hair were the night sky. He had the same effect of the Blue Moon. Maybe that's why Noé was so interested in that human. It wasn't only for his past and his book, he had the same beauty of the moon he always admired when he was a kid.

The two continued to look into each others eyes for a couple of minutes, absolute silence between them.

"You really are an interesting person, you know?" Noé was intrigued, he wanted to know more about the human.

"Mh. I could say the same. Do you want me to sleep here or...?"

Noé flushed.
"Ah! No- well I mean y- uhh" He covered his face.

"...I wouldn't mind if you wanted to." Vanitas said looking away.

"...if it's ok for you then alright" Noé didn't quite know how to react to that, but he figured that maybe it wasn't such a bad idea.

"If you dare to touch me with those fangs of yours consider yourself dead." Vanitas glared at him, then he layed under the covers.

"Of course! That wasn't even crossing my mind haha.." Noé immediately replied, nervously laughing. It was true it didn't even cross his mind to drink his blood, but what if his vampire senses kicked in? He wouldn't have liked that.

"Can I..." Noé started, while he was getting under the covers.

"...what..?" Vanitas immediately turned around to face him, a worried expression on his face.

"Oh n- don't worry I... Can we cuddle?" He didn't even know with what confidence he even asked that but...

"Oh...can't you do that with Murr??" He turned around, a light tint of pink on his cheeks. He wasn't disagreeing, the truth was that he rarely received that kind of affection, so it was a bit embarrassing for him.

Noé's face reddened.
"Murr? He- uhm... he...kicks in his sleep..?"

"He's a cat."

"He kicked me in the stomach once"
That was clearly a lie.

"And what makes you think that I don't?"

"You would have fallen off from the roof countless times if you moved in your sleep."

"Fair enough. I guess it's ok." He couldn't say anything else. He was also feeling pretty cold, so it was kind of a win-win.

Noé wrapped his arms around Vanitas, as if he was a big plushie. Vanitas was debating whether to turn around to face him, and make the situation weird, or to stay like that. He then decided to turn around, because he felt like his neck was too exposed to the vampire. Not that turning around would have covered it more, but at least he could look at...

"?" Noé was confused. And very flustered. He was still holding Vanitas, but now their faces were inches apart.

"I...prefer looking at you, rather than the wall..." He didn't think about it at first, but maybe he should have worded it differently.

"!!? You...what?!" Noé was taken aback by that, little did he know the human meant to say that he preferred his back towards the wall so that his neck was 'safe'.
Vanitas didn't care anymore, he was getting sleepy.
"Nevermind..." He yawned, and as his eyes slowly closed he snuggled up on Noé's chest, hugging him back. He didn't care anymore, might as well enjoy this little moment.

Noé felt the same, and even tho he was visibly more flushed, he held Vanitas in his arms, and the two fell asleep just like that.
