Witness my days as they pass
See me hide from her
Hear the words so crass
That she says to me

Witness my nights that are long
See me toss and turn
Hear me hum a song
To gently lull myself to sleep

Witness my moments of delight
See me shed a joyous tear
Hear me laugh with might
At the jokes i read

Witness my weeks of ailing
See me sickly and weak
Hear me crying and wailing
And soothe my aching

But who could you be?
I never knew
Until i took a lil peek
Up close, then i cd see

You were my witness all along
Sitting on a fine web of silk
A tiny spider on the wall
Who kept me company

You saw my lifes ups and downs
Reflected in your many eyes
Quiet and tiny, light and brown
You have certainly seen it all

___________________________________

This is inspired by a tiny spider that used to live in the corner of my room in my previous apartment! I never disturbed its lil webby home when i did my regular cleaning lol. It was a very tiny one, so I wasn't afraid of it at all. There were plenty of tiny little insects that came near the web and got caught so i think it was overall pretty comfortable in its little corner.
When i moved out, i made sure to say goodbye to my tiny little witness on the wall.
