Note
This is a bit more pessimistic and negative and has mentions of implied suicidal feelings so if you don't want to read such things at the moment, feel free to skip this one.
I really tried putting everything in the form of different metaphors which was a fun challenge. Every few minutes i was perusing dictionaries and google lol.

Every once in a blue moon,
I would eat many a nail and screw
And writhe and wriggle,
Till I see the ordeal through

Many a moon pass by
I keep swimming the endless stream
Which flows up ever so slight
Striving for a promise to keep

When i was but a fledgling
I wished to soon take wing
But if only the little fledgling knew
How such hopeless dreams could sting

Born under a dying star,
In a soup of ailments and disarray
Every few moons bring new chaos
I wait to slowly, painfully wither away

Bones fashioned from brittle glass
With sinew of fragile string
Guts from delicate cloth
And a heart of unrhythmic singing

Every daybreak chisels away my will
To a trifling sliver bereft of much
Any joy is only fleeting
While agony is my perpetual truth

This new moon comes laden full
Of many burdens too great
Every new step i take
Pieces of me chip and break

Waves of fire lap at my joints
As i crack and splinter
Im falling apart at the seams
A feeble flicker of hope lingers

Alone in my foggy glass box
I slowly sink under the weight
Of my own agony and grief
All i can do is await

If i can dare to tell a new wish
A chance to convey my farewells
And a swift end to my despairing life
Is all i would tell

Still i keep swimming up the endless stream
Burdened with pain and grief
With a flickering light leading the way
All for a promise to keep

The end

I would like to say that while suicidal feelings can be overwhelming and isolating, you are never alone in feeling that way. I hope whoever experiences such feelings can get the help they need. Asking for help takes strength and it is never a sign of weakness.

Stay safe and take care, my beloved readers.
