After some hours, you had woken up and it was now early in the next day. The sun was barely rising, shining into the bedroom Itachi had left you in. With a sigh, you stared at the window with the curtains barely pulled open, just enough for the streaks of light to come in.
You felt stuck in a position where you were never going back to the life you once had. For some reason, you were 50/50 about it. Sure your life was boring, you never really did much before meeting Itachi then the other two but it was a life that was comfortable for you. This was something else.
After an hour of staying in bed, you decided to get up once you felt your stomach grumbling against your skin. Your small feet making their way out of the room and around the cabin until you managed to find the kitchen.
It was eerily quiet in here making you somewhat nervous because in the back of your mind this was a perfect secluded area to kill you. Of course knowing that wouldn't happen, it was still a lingering thought that would appear every now and then.
You decided to dig through the fridge and the cabinets, surprisingly it was full which meant he had went to go to the store while you were fast asleep. You decided to make some breakfast, pancakes, bacon, eggs, everything you could to fill the growing hunger you had and have had for over a week.
As you put the cooked food on plates, you heard a few floorboards creak down the hall, making you snap your head to that direction before finding Itachi standing there with nothing but a pair of sweatpants on while rubbing his sleepy eyes.
Your eyes couldn't help but look over his state, his messy hair, the tattoos that were completely splattered all over his skin. His chest covered, his stomach covered, there wasn't a piece of exposed skin left on his body.. besides his face.
"Morning." You mumbled, snapping your gaze away when his eyes met yours.
You felt your cheeks grow hot, grabbing two plates and putting everything on them before setting it down on the table along with a cup of coffee, watching him sit down and look at the food surprised.
"You didn't have to cook, I could have made you something." He spoke low, his morning voice deep and groggy.
"You don't have to do everything for me, you know." You said, sitting down across from him and seeing his eyes stare at you.
"I would like to." He admitted, you meeting his gaze and raising both of your eyebrows.
"Really? Why?" You grabbed the fork, stabbing into your eggs and taking a few bites as he simply shrugged his shoulders.
"I want to." He said plainly, watching you eat as he took a drink out of his coffee.
"Can you tell me why you were told to watch me?" The question had been eating at you since Obito had slipped it up, you knew the only one who would probably tell you the full truth is him but you wanted to see if Itachi would as well.
"It's not really my place to tell you that."
"Then whose place is it?" The annoyance in your tone was evident, making Itachi freeze in his chair and stare at you, his dark eyes suffocating as he tried to read your facial expression.
He sighed deeply, opening his mouth to say something until his phone started to ring in his pocket. Your eyes buried into his face as he looked down at the phone and saw him press it to his ear. It was of course Sasuke who decided to call this early which made Itachi dismiss himself from the table and walk down the hallway, leaving you to yourself.
You huffed out a breath, playing with your food a little bit as you thought about what could be so secretive. You decided to eat the rest of your food, however, and did it rather quickly so you wouldn't be stuck at the table with him any longer when he came back.
