Chapter 14 Questions

Brandon POV

We were watching our movie, eating pizza, when we hear a knock on the door. I look over at Vikk, trying to make my eyes ask if he could get it. He gives the same look. I look over at Kenny and he just rolls his eyes.

I look back at Vikk, and he is back to daydreaming. I pause the movie and go and answer the door. A girl with red and black hair stood before me. She is wearing grey sweat pants, a green hoodie, and black shoes. She looks somewhat familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.

"Hello." I say. She glances over my shoulder and looks back.

"I'm sorry for annoying you, but I heard a loud noise coming from you apartment. I thought you go hurt or something." She says, looking embarrassed.

"Oh, sorry! That was my television. I will turn it down once I turn it back on. Sorry for scarring you!" I apologise. I can't believe the tv was that loud!

"It's okay, and don't say sorry so much." She replies, giggling. I laugh back, bidding my farewells. She waves and I close the door. Why was she so familiar?

I go back into the living room to see a scared Vikk in the arms of Kenny. I look at Kenny and he just shrugs. I sit down next to him and pat Vikks arm. He seemed to calm down from this act, and leans back into Kenny.

He doesn't seem to mind at all, and starts to play with his hair, trying to calm him even more. Kenny will be a great dad one day, I swear.

Vikk falls asleep moments later, trapping Kenny. I chuckle quietly and try to pry Vikk off of him. I pick him up bridle style and set him in his room. He looks so peaceful, it's disturbing.

I walk back into the living room and pick up Vikkstar leftover pizza and set it in the refrigerator. I come back and start eating mine again. Kenny turns down the volume and un pauses Dumb and Dumber. We watch the movie in silence.

I keep watching the movie, but every now and again I would notice Kenny take a glance at me. I pause the movie, and he looks at me perplexed.

"Kenny, why was Vikk so scared?" I ask.

He shrugs his shoulders and says, "He just jumped up and came to me. But I noticed that he has been daydreaming way too much."

I nod, but one thing nagged at my brain. "Did you recognize that girl at the door?"

He shook his head. I pick back up the remote and un pause it. "Brandon, just stop questioning so much. Everything is okay." Kenny adds, giving me a small grin. I grin back, knowing he knows it's a fake smile.

The girl still nags at my mind though. I don't want to see her again, but I want to know her, even if she is just part of a game.
