Once Mars woke up she had a quick moment of calmness as she did every morning before the weight of her life came crashing down,
"Fuck..." She muttered to herself remembering everything that had happened and slamming her hands into her face.
She sat up from the floor, looked out her window and saw it was bright out, she also saw that Ajax was nowhere to be seen.
Mars panicked and got up from the floor before rushing over to look at the time on her alarm clock,
11:18 AM
"Oh shit-" Mars said before running to the living room,
No one was home
She thought for a moment about where Ajax could have gone before running to the front door to where she put her bag after school,
It was gone.
"God fucking damnit!" she yelled as she realized where they had gone,
School.
Mars's school wasn't too far from her house, she had walked home a few times when she missed the bus so she knew how to easily get there.
She ran there as fast as she could which wasn't that hard seeing as she didn't need to breathe and couldn't really get physically tired.
Once Mars had got there she heard the lunch bell and looked for Ajax in the crowd and there they were.
Mars ran up to Ajax and said "The hell are you doing here!?"
"Hmm? Oh hello Mars!" Ajax said smiling
Mars glanced at the people around her, "God, I hope people don't think I'm crazy because I'm talking to a ghost."
Ajax chucked and said, "Oh don't worry mars I'm sure people think you're crazy for plenty of other reasons!"
"UGH, will you ever shut up!? actually, you know what, never mind, who cares!" Mars says flinging her hands up in the air in anger.
Ajax shrugs and keeps walking "So mars, where do you usually sit"
"Oh uhh usually by that tree over there," Mars says walking alongside Ajax and pointing to a tree on the other side of a small field
"Why not with them?" Ajax inquires, pointing to a table next to a wall where a few kids are sitting at, one of which is the blonde-haired girl.
"There? oh uh well I will someday I just-" Mars said before being interrupted
"Why not today then!" Ajax says as they keep walking to the lunch table
Mars's eyes widen as she tries to grab Ajax's wrist to stop them from walking "No no no no no no you are NOT sitting there"
Ajax stops in their tracks out of pity "Why is that?"
"Because when I ask her if I can sit at her table I want to make a good first impression!" Mars says
Ajax raises their eyebrows "Who?"
"Oh um, no one there's just this girl, and she-" Mars says nervously before being interrupted.
"You like her don't you?" Ajax says smirking
"WHAT?! No no no! I- I don't- I..." Mars says stuttering
"Ah okay, so you wouldn't mind if I walked over there then would you?" Ajax said clearly teasing Mars a bit.
"Wait wait wait no no no!" mars says desperately but poorly trying to convince Ajax not to go over there.
Ajax chuckles before walking over to the table.
