Mars makes her way to Luna's house walking in the middle of the road seeing as she doesn't need to worry about getting hit by a car. Once she makes it to Luna's house and into her room, she finds Luna sitting on the floor wearing a black sweater with purple eyes sewn into various parts of the sweater patiently watching a small radio that is humming with static.
Mars sits down across from her, closes her eyes and places a hand on the radio
The static stops
Mars feels the Tie as it wraps around her hand and she opens her eyes to see Luna, her eyes lit up with excitement waiting for Mars to say something
"Hey Luna," Mars says
"Hi, Mars!" Luna says waving her hands happily at the radio
Mars laughs for a second before saying "Oh by the way, I've got some info that might be useful for getting my body back from Ajax"
"Oh? What is it?" Luna asks, interested in what Mars has to say
"Okay, so you know how I'm able to interact with stuff?" Mars says
"Yeah?" Luna replies, nodding her head
"I'm able to do that by using these things called Ties, they're basically the heart of any tangible object and I can use them to connect with stuff, that's how I was able to move the planchette and talk to you through this radio! I think it's how Ajax was able to steal my body." Mars says
"Hmm that's actually really interesting... I think I've got an idea! What if you connected to him?" Luna says
"What do you mean?" Mars replied
"Why don't you just use the same process that you use to tether yourself to any other object and take back control that way!" Luna said hopefully
Mars thought for a moment before saying "I mean, it's worth a shot but how-"
KNOCK KNOCK!
The abrupt sound of knocking on Luna's door was heard, startling Luna and Mars and interrupting their conversation.
Luna got up, walked to the door, and turned to the radio
"Don't worry, it's probably just my brother" Luna whispered as she opened the door
"Hey Lu, some dumbass at the front door said they wanted to talk to you or something," Luna's older brother said
Luna turned her head to the side in confusion "Really, are you sure? I wasn't planning on having anyone over"
"I don't fucking know they just said they were a friend of yours" Luna's older brother grumbled
"Okay, fine then," Luna said walking out her door and shutting it halfway
Luna walked through her house and up to her front door.
She opened up the door to see Mars,
but it's not really Mars,
she knew that without a doubt...
"Hey, Luna!" Ajax says smiling and waving
"Hey... Mars," Luna says hesitantly
"I was having some trouble with the math homework and I was wondering if you might be able to help me!" Ajax said grabbing a folder from their bag
Luna thought for a moment before reluctantly agreeing "Uh yeah sure, I could help you out! let me just grab my homework" She says before walking to her room.
Once Luna gets into her room she looks to the radio
"It's Ajax!" Luna says in a panicked tone before hearing the door shut behind her.
"Hello you two!" Ajax says
"Oh shit," Mars says looking at Ajax
"Oh shit indeed!" Ajax says
"What do you want from her!" Luna says defensively
"Hmm? Oh nothing, I just wanted to make sure that you two lovebirds weren't plotting against me behind my back!" Ajax says as they check their nails
"L-Lovebirds?" Luna says tensing up and blushing
"Well bad news for you Ajax, we've already plotted against you and we have a plan!"
"Oh have you now? What's the plan?" Ajax asks with a smirk on his face
"This!" Mars says as she charges toward Ajax with an outstretched hand
Mars's hand phases through Ajax before catching on a string causing Ajax to stumble backwards. As soon as Mars feels the Tie wrap around her hand she feels a warmth and then sees a bright light that consumes the entire room...
When the light clears Luna hears the radio behind her fizzle out into nothing and sees Mars's collapsed body on the ground in front of her.
"Mars?" Luna says nervously, her hand close to her chest as she stares at Mars's body
Mars doesn't respond.
"Mars?!" Luna says running to Mars, panicked and afraid.
Mars doesn't respond.
"Mars?! Are you okay? please wake up!" Luna says shaking her collapsed body, pleading for her to wake up
Luna gets up from the floor and turns to the radio, the speakers of which seem to have exploded
"Mars..." Luna mutters on the verge of tears looking back to her
Luna sits above Mars's collapsed body and begins to cry
"Mars?... Please wake up..."
"Please..."
