Gabrielle sat on the couch in her new condo, taking a deep breath as she looked around. The place was still a mess, with boxes scattered everywhere, a clear sign that she hadn't fully settled in yet. She had just returned from her old home, grabbing a few things she'd forgotten to bring on her initial move. Now, the daunting task of unpacking awaited her.
She sighed, feeling the weight of the work ahead she then grab her phone. She needed something to keep her motivated. Gabrielle surfed on her phone, trying to search for the perfect playlist on Spotify to keep her motivated while unpacking and organizing her stuff. After a moment of scrolling, she didn't find a perfect playlist that matched her mood when she remembered Wonnie had sent her a playlist a few days back then for her to listen but she hadn't checked it out yet, but now seemed like the perfect time.
As she clicked on her messages from Wonnie, she noticed there were two playlists. The first was titled "Enhypen Songs for You to Hype Up," and the second was simply labeled "Random Faves." Gabrielle smiled to herself, appreciating the thoughtfulness behind them. Shrugging, she decided to start with the Enhypen playlist.
The familiar beats of Enhypen's music filled the room, instantly lifting her spirits. Gabrielle began unpacking, humming along to the songs as she moved around the condo, arranging her belongings and slowly transforming the space into something that felt more like home. The rhythm of the music kept her energized as she unpacked clothes, books, and kitchenware, making the place feel more lived-in with every passing minute.
After what felt like hours, Gabrielle finally finished tidying up. She slumped onto her bed, feeling the warmth and coziness of the mattress beneath her. It was a relief that she's already with the unpacking, and as she lay there, staring up at the ceiling, she allowed herself a moment of peace.
But her mind quickly shifted to the tasks that still lay ahead. Grabbing her phone, she opened her schedule for the week. Most of the requirements for her university transfer were already taken care of, but there was one thing left—submitting her documents to the Psychology department. The only problem? She still hadn't managed to find the building.
Frustrated, she scrolled through her contacts, searching for a certain number. Her thumb pausing over a name she had saved recently: Shaine. Shaine had offered to show her around campus, and Gabrielle had been meaning to take her up on that offer. Now seemed like the perfect time.
She hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should interrupt Shaine's day, but she knew she needed the help. Besides, Shaine had seemed more than willing to lend a hand.
Taking a deep breath, Gabrielle composed a message.
