•••By day, she's the quiet, shy assistant, always in the background, making sure everything runs smoothly. She's the one keeping her boss on track, but she stays out of the spotlight, doing her thing without drawing attention. Everyone knows she's reliable, but no one really sees the fire inside.
But when the workday ends and night rolls in, she flips the script. The timid assistant is gone, and in her place is the Queen Boss. She steps into her world, running things her way-confident, bold, and completely in charge. The same woman who was just following orders is now the one making them.
It's like she lives two different lives-playing it cool and quiet during the day, then owning the night with all the power and swagger she's been holding back. And honestly, she wouldn't have it any other way.

"Where's my damn assistant? I shouldn't have to fucking search my office for her every single day."
I immediately jumped up when I heard my boss enter the office. I'd been lost in my thoughts for a second and hadn't noticed she was already here.
Scrambling to pick up the loose papers on my desk, I quickly made myself visible, hoping she didn't catch how distracted I'd been.
"Y-yes, ma'am, I'm here," I stammered, trying to sound composed. She glanced at me with a look of disinterest and rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed.
"You know how I am about my time. You need to be standing in my face when I walk through that door... and where's my coffee?" she demanded.
Shit... I knew I forgot something.
"I'm so sorry, I was busy filing these rep-..." I started to say but she cut me off.
"I don't have time for excuses. You're this close to being fired. You act like you don't know what the fuck your job is. Get it together, Knowles," she snapped, and I sighed, feeling the weight of her words sink in.
Working for Onika Maraj wasn't easy, but it paid the bills. Eventually, I wanted to branch out and start my own company, but for now, I had to do what I had to do.
I walked behind her as she headed into her office and took a seat. With her schedule and reports in my hand, I prepared to update her.
As she logged into her computer, her fresh acrylics clicking against the keys, I couldn't help but admire her.
Yes, she was a bitch in the worst way, but she was a beautiful one. Her demeanor, her looks, the way she carried herself like a boss-it was all very attractive to me.
I had to fight my feelings every day, keeping my attraction hidden. I know it sounds crazy to have a crush on someone so mean, but I just can't help it.
