─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───I stepped off the plane and immediately pulled out my phone to start vlogging.
"What's up, y'all! I just landed in Houston!" I said, flashing a smile at the camera. "I'm gonna be here for a week, and I'm super excited to see what this country life is all about. Y'all know I'm a city girl, so this is gonna be... interesting."
I glanced around the busy airport, feeling the energy.
"Right now, I'm about to go get my bags and then head over to pick up my rental car," I continued, walking toward baggage claim. "Stay tuned, I'll be showing y'all everything this week. See you in a bit!" I ended the video and slid my phone back into my bag, adjusting my sunglasses.
As I started walking, I heard someone gasp behind me. "Omg, it's Nicki!"
I turned around, smiling and waving as I walked over to a small group of fans. "Hey, babes!"
They squealed, and I couldn't help but laugh. One of the girls pulled out her phone, and I leaned in to take a few selfies with them.
Another girl said, "You're literally so pretty."
I smiled even wider, genuinely touched. "Thank you, babe! Y'all are too sweet."
After a few more pictures and quick hugs, I waved them off and made my way to baggage claim, still buzzing from the love.
I loved being an influencer-it was everything I dreamed of when I first started. The connections, the love from fans, the opportunities to travel... it made all the hard work feel worth it.
But sometimes, it was just too much. The attention was constant, the deadlines were never-ending, and the pressure to create perfect content all the time? Exhausting.
It felt like I always had to be "on," like I couldn't let up for even a second. My followers expected me to be flawless, to give them something fresh every single day.
And while I appreciated every bit of love and support, the grind could be overwhelming.
As I made my way to baggage claim, my mind was still racing with thoughts of what content I could create while I was out here. I was excited to switch things up, to show my audience something different from my usual city life.
But I couldn't shake the weight of that ever-present pressure.
Just as I grabbed my suitcase off the belt, I overheard a group of men talking nearby.
One of them said, "Weather's reporting a big storm coming." Another chimed in, "Yeah, they're probably about to close off flights soon."
I glanced over at them, listening for a moment, but then shrugged it off. That has nothing to do with me.
