Xiao Xin is a young and innocent woman who is being punished for standing up for the truth as the Imperial guards make her lie on her stomach on a bench and flog her 100 times.
The flogging on Xiao Xin's back causes her skin to peel and bleed but she still doesn't beg for forgiveness.

The pain and exhaustion has broken Xiao Xin mentally and physically as she remembers her former master, the late Cangse Sanren, for the last time.
