Harry stood on the sidelines watching their all-out battle.

"Go."

Nathaniel had been urging her forward. He seemed to believe that she was the only one who could stop all the fighting.

"Go on already. It's not like things will get any worse if you do."

Harry and Nathaniel moved aside as a couple of fighting knights moved passed them. Nathaniel was right; it's not like the situation would get any worse if she did step in.

"Are you going to go?" he asked her.

"I'll go," she finally answered.

She started to walk towards the target. Harry didn't want to take out her sword yet. She wondered if there was still a way to reach him without fighting.

As Harry got closer and closer, she opened her mouth and called out his name. She barely had enough time to get it out before a blinding purple light took over. A strong surge of energy blasted everyone who was within thirty feet of the light back.

The fighting momentarily stopped as bodies rolled everywhere. It had been like Nathaniel's power. Nathaniel had tried to use his own to counteract it, but he was also thrown back with a fearsome force.

Harry sat up and looked around at her sides. "Is everyone okay?" she asked.

Kahil was now right beside her. "Yeah, somehow," he replied. The siblings gave one another a small smile of reassurance. Harry looked around for everyone else. Some were okay like herself, but others were thrown into high trees or had their fall broken by thick tree trunks.

The farther Harry looked, the farther she could see the more serious related injuries or the dead. Out of the corner of her eye was the same purple light. Harry turned to look at it. The only one who had been left unaffected by the blast was Varian. He had somehow used his newfound powers to cause it. He stood in the middle of the grounds with bursts of energy and purple strings of power surrounding his body.

"Harry," called Kahil warningly.

"I know," she replied.

Harry stood up and began to walk towards him. She was the only one who was standing. Harry ignored Kahil's warnings and proceeded forward. She wondered if her brother was thinking that she was fearless. That wasn't exactly true, she was very scared, but she already knew that she was the only one who had any hope of saving the kingdom.

Harry stopped once she was a few feet away from Varian. She was close enough to where they could hear each other without shouting, but she was also far enough to where she wouldn't be as hurt by his power.

"Varian," she called.

"Harry," he called back hesitantly. He hadn't appeared to have noticed her. He turned to look at her. Harry could see, even with the blinding light, what kind of expression he was making. He looked sad and maybe even a little fearful. Harry wondered why he was making that sort of face and why now? Was he suddenly regretting everything?

Harry shook the shock from her body and frowned. She didn't want to keep any more ridiculous thoughts in her head. She called out to him again, making sure to have a tight grasp on the handle of her sword; she took a step forward. She didn't want to draw her sword or use it against him.

She had barely taken a step forward when Varian suddenly shouted at her. "Stay back!" She froze and instinctively looked down at her feet and then up at him. His expression had changed again. He now looked a little angry and confused. "Harry," he called in an almost shaky breath. "Stay out of this. This is not your battle. I know that now."
